Secret nerf to Orpheus Rig?

Since the last lot of "maintenance" I've noticed that the Orpheus Rig is not working as it previously did. Taking the current Nightfall as one example... And specifically the Prestige Nightfall, when you get to the section where all the taken spawn and clear them out, then the Vex spawn, I used to tether the Vex mob and get my super back instantly... Now, I get about half or just a little bit over. I've run the PNF multiple times this week and specifically waited until that same spot to tether... Same results. Anyone else noticed this happening?         • Last I played I noticed it was Nerfed. The recharge sometimes doesn’t work as well and sometimes I even get a “dud”. The arrow will shoot but the tether won’t function. So hopefully that is a glitch. It’s the only thing hunters really have in PVE that’s worth using as support and yeah, wouldn’t surprise me if they nerfed it.

        • Well since they're famous for adjusting shit (right up to halo 1's pistol) I wouldn't be the least bit surprised a dev adjusted it because he was butthurt

          • Guys, we've been listening. The community really like side arms and has been asking that we do something to make sniper rifles viable. We have decided to fully overhaul sniper rifles to make them more like sidearms in range and impact. This will add more variety to the power weapon slot.

            This is just more proof that Bungie are not in any way communicating with the player base. All they do is look at their logs and see what is being used the most and then nerf it.

            • i have to make sure i dont directly hit any enemies. the loss of one can cause a total reduction in crowd value. thats what i have noticed. also the overall duration of the teather seems shorter.

            • I've noticed some weirdness, but it's not a consistent thing. For instance, I'll tether 7-10 enemies in a strike and get full super back. However, in EoW I'll tether a group of 7 or so Harpies and it'll only give me about half. Not sure what the deal is here, but it doesn't really seem to be a nerf.

                Still the same I think it depends on the enemy level, yellow bar goes up iAds quicker than the red. Seems the same to me

                • I was running some PE earlier and I noticed the same thing, couldn't tell if they truly weren't tethering (others were using tether too at times) or if they seem to have throttled the orbs granted.

                  • Oh shoot!! I thought it was just me 🤔 was playing argos the other day tried to equip my orpheus rigs for add control feels like the recharge rate was a second late and the super feels like ending quickly than it should’ve been.

                    I can confirm what you are seeing, but I've seen it be inconsistent. I don't think it's a nerf, I think they may have introduced a bug. Sometimes, I tether 10ish (or whatever) enemies and get my super back, as usual. Other times, I tether the same number of enemies and it only registers half. It's weird, because it is almost always full or half... nowhere in between... EDIT... also just to clarify... the " 50%" aren't instances of the enemies being killed before the tether takes hold. Anyone who uses the ORs regularly knows better. I am talking about clear tethers of large number of enemies and it only counts half as much.

                    • Orpheus rig is my favourite piece of Hunter gear but I've not played since Crimson gays came out. I'll have a look and test em out. A lot of people didn't notice the stealth nerf to Actium war rig either, that was ages ago. It no longer refills your mag as fast as it did when it first came out.

                    • Ran the prestige last night, in the area you're referring to, I got my super back when I tethered the vex spawn so I haven't noticed a change.

                        • While I haven't noticed a change, it wouldn't surprise me if they reduced the OR effectiveness because of the implementation of masterworks on the weapons.
