Correct. Admittedly, I'm of the mind that if our police are toting around 15-shot guns (like NYPD's Glock 19, LAPD's Beretta 92, etc), it's debatable whether civilians really need weapons that take 30, 50, or even 100-shot magazines. But problem is, the NRA is afraid to give an inch, lest their adversaries take a mile.

I always liked that analogy. I am of the skeptical belief that is we compromise any small aspect of our rights they will be inevitability and completely stripped away.

The 10-round limit set in 1994 actually did more good than harm. Yes, it set limits on magazine capacities, but it encouraged development of more powerful and size-efficient handguns. The .40, .357, and .45 calibers were big winners.
