Edited by PotatoSigma: 3/3/2021 9:10:56 PMSpace Marines are bada**es. But they don't have the Light, or any form of Ontological/Paracausal power, which in Destiny, is loosely defined by somethings ability to affect the reality of their universe. The Traveler is stated to be multi reality and it power is multi universal. The Titans will retain their power no matter where they go, so they can face the Space Marines at full strength. The power level game mechanic in Destiny is canon, which means that pretty much anything 200 levels lower than you can't even hurt you. Guardians are also able to bring down Space Marine sized enemies such as the cabal Colossus, which carries even more armor than a Space Marine is physically able to. The average Titan has a power level of about 1200 right now, and Space Marines probably have a power level of 200 based on their connection to the Emperor and their ability to resist the Warp. Titans would win this fight with no "real" casualties simply on the fact that Space Marines view Paracausality to be heretical and since Paracausal weapons are the only thing that can kill Ghosts, the Space Marines lose (Also, I think it's unfair to not include the Ghosts in this fight, each Ghost is part of their Guardian. To remove it in theoretical combat is like removing a Space Marines augments and gene putting him in a room with Master Chief, who could win against a normal Space Marine because he's just that good.)

14 RepliesExcept titans can be revived

3 RepliesSpace Marines are the logical conclusion to the old childhood arguments of "bang I got you" "No you didn't I have super armor" "Well my bullets explode" "Well my blood clots super fast so I don't bleed out plus I have 2 hearts" Etc etc until you end up with a Space Marine. The answer to who would win is always the space marines

2 RepliesEdited by Yugdestrial: 2/18/2018 1:33:31 AMLemann Russ and Lion'el Johnson could wipe half of them out together. Get Rouboute Guilliman in the mix and it's over. Besides, the Traveller is anathema to the Machine God and the heretics would be crushed, Exterminatus style.

3 RepliesEdited by Sir Amik Vaze: 2/17/2018 10:08:58 AMSpace Marines. Their Bolters/Heavy Bolters/Lightning Claws/Chainswords/thousands of years of war experience etc. would tear them to pieces. What you have is 8ft of the Emperors unflinching will. "Space Magic" won't save you this time.

5 RepliesEdited by Shadowdragon: 2/18/2018 1:17:34 AMWhen somebody mentions Titans...I am so f*cking compelled to speak of the Bionis. DAMN YOU XENOBLADE!!! If we're talking about Destiny, I'd go with Titans because they have walls, exotic armors, Sweet Business with Actium War rig, and shields.

3 RepliesSpace Marines. It’s not even remotely a competition. I’m one for Titans being like the big strong guys of Destiny, but if the Marines existed, they would be nothing.
-
4 RepliesI don't know what a Space Marine is, but I've always thought of the Titan as being a Marine. A BIG, BAD, SPACE -blam!-ING MARINE!!! While I tend to run all three characters equally, My heart and soul belongs to my Warlock. Lots of respect for Titans though. :)

6 RepliesCan space marines be revived after death? If not I’m going to have to give it to the Titans.
-
6 RepliesDepends on a lot of things like battlefields and whatnot. Frankly? I'd go with Destiny Titan. Warhammer space marines really don't get space magic being the primary driving force.

Marines, they don't get nerfed every update.

4 RepliesEdited by kris_tunetso: 2/17/2018 4:07:55 AM40k Space Marines lose to Titans, and quite badly at that. Space magic ftw. Genetic modification and guns with exploding shells don't mean much to guys who can throw up energy-based barricades practically at will, can throw down bubbles that are impenetrable to projectiles, can throw discs that will disintegrate whatever they hit, can conjure and throw hammers that incinerate whatever they hit, and can charge up a mobile meteor impact that also would probably disintegrate. (Hunter main here, I'm not completely familiar with Titan class abilities.) And assuming each world's rules apply to the fight, the Titans also get significant damage reduction while supering. Not to mention, Titan will just rez when downed: spehs murhreen's cant do that. The only way Space Marines win is by executing orbital bombardment. Not much a Titan can do when the planet is being glassed all around him: even Zavala couldn't hold his bubble against some Cabal missiles for more than a few seconds.

4 RepliesI’m sure Bungie would nerf them both to oblivion Bungie wins

5 RepliesSpace Marines - Warcraft/Star Craft types yes? Titans would win. Resurrections and Space Magic trumps the shoulder pad lads.
