Black screen when loading into tower STILL
I'm not a D2 hater but this truly represents something that is broken. I'm not a hater, I play and have fun. But at least twice a game session when I load into the tower I'm getting the black screen of death and the only fix is to reload D2 completely.
This truly is broken. It's been going on for me since the DLC dropped. I know there have been a tonne of comments about it and this is legit frustrating.

Currently there is a spawn-in glitch in the Leviathan that causes players to have to orbit and return every time we wipe. WHY that has not been fixed is beyond me.... Currently there is the black screen when trying to visit the tower.... WHY that has not been fixed??? It seems if its a glitch that benefits the players, it becomes priority one, but if it hinders the players, it gets ignored.

I only go to the tower to clear the useless crap the postmaster holds so i can make more room for obsolete blues and hopefully land a chance on a new shader. The Destiny life: useless crap

This is the very least of the problems D2 is having. How about losing 85% of your player base due to the game being shit? But none the less the black screen is annoying.

This only happens to me when I go into options and look at my character and inventory when loading into the tower. To get out of the Black Death, bring up your map through options button and travel to a different location. I agree this is a problem though.

1 ReplyHappens mostly to me if I am in menus during drop to planet surface... Try waiting till you land to bring up menus... I usually do bio breaks when flying in and when I return I am standing where you spawn in... If I try crushing stuff to get ahead of the post office dance, I usually black screen. IMHO. YMMV.

YES! The Black Screen loading into the tower needs to be fixed.... but the spawn-in glitch on the Leviathan NEEDS to be fixed ASAP. I dont know how many times the Raid has been abandoned due to this. FIX IT !

Tower is the most dangerous activity in the game. If you die in a raid you just have to wait at most max revive time. If you get the black screen at the tower you're toast. I hate that bug, and am baffled how it still exists

2 RepliesA little trick I've learned, when in black screen bring up the locations map (sometimes you have to go into your character screen then go to the map screen). Select crucible, once it starts matchmaking exit matchmaking, now try to go back to the tower and it should work. This works for me every time. But I get you, at this stage of the game stuff like this shouldn't be broken.

I get this as well but in my case it is only on my titan when first logging in. The issue is also very random can go days with no issue then black screen!

I got stuck today going up the farm, had to go to progress n got constant black screen.
