For me there is no reason to enter it. It’s cosmetic only. For a PvE-centric player who dabbles in PvP, I can’t see any reason to go into a Trials environment for loot I would never use. If there was gear that would grow my character it would be worth putting up with it. There isn’t, so it isn’t. I’m not offended by the event - if people enjoy it, good for them. I’m simply not interested in or motivated by cosmetics anywhere in your game. Give me a sparrow with guns and I’m on board. Give me an emote that hypnotized Calus so my teammates can beat him down and I’m all about it. Pink armor shaders? Pass. Hard pass.

  • I'm mainly a PvE player (with an occasional deep dive into IB). So far, Crimson Days is pretty good. It's refreshing to not feel 'guided' or 'herded' to Tess Everis all the time. The matches themselves have been fun, and I'm super happy this was a match made event. It doesn't always work out, but at least I've always got a way to get into a match! I think the ghosts are the coolest part of the loot. The shaders are ok... Sparrows are good. The exotic ornaments look cool too. I will also say that the Tower 'wowed' me when I first popped in. The petals in the air and the decor is beautiful.

  • I like Iron Banner. That’s a more casual environment with rewards that can help you in play. Even if I’m not a big PvP fan, the rewards are worth getting in there. Bungie needs that. The more people like me (people with heads the size of pumpkins and the movement speed of a tree sloth) play, the bigger the pool of players, the more tolerable the play is for everyone. Tryhards will get to own, casuals won’t feel like they’ve been dropped into Tryhard Central every single game.
