Okay, let's have a little (personal) review.
First of all, I liked the Crimson Days back in D1. The 2v2 format is perfect if you don't have a lot of friends who play or they are scattered across different timezones. This was a big plus in D1 and even more so in D2 because you run into full teams a lot and get basically punished for not having a group. It's nice to get just 1 friend with you and have a good chance at winning.
I wasn't sure about the modifier at first but it has sort of won me over. Personally I think the buff to recharge speed is too high and causes blindly tossing your grenades instead of actual gunfights. On the one hand it can be fun but on the other you're playing minesweeper and every step might kill you.
Also, the buff would be better suited to just grenades and melee abilities. Having your class ability every other second doesn't feel right. You get barriers and rifts all over the map and Hunters constantly going invisible playing hit and run.
I do love the "Vengeance" perk you get when your teammate dies. It gives you a reasonable chance in a 2v1 or you can back out and regroup without getting chased down like a wounded animal. I would have liked to see that Vengeance also blocks the waypoint though since you can't possibly be near your teammate until at least 2 seconds after respawn.
One thing I really don't enjoy is the Power ammo. The core of Crimson Days is to stick together but the only way to survive the inevitable blast is to split up. It seems counter intuitive and, in my opinion, shouldn't exist in a 2v2. It's too much of an edge.
Overall it's a more enjoyable PvP experience than regular Crucible but there's certainly room for improvement. Really hope to see more of these improvements down the road, for all aspects of the game. Keep it up!

The power ammo forces people to move in order to control it. Without it, all you get is teams camping in their respective corners, and trying to get a lucky pick FTW.

Yes, I know that. Like I said; it's a personal review and I just don't like it. I can understand that they think it's necessary but I disagree.

Edited by TheArtist: 2/15/2018 12:30:14 PMIt is necessary. Because they have almost three years of Trials of Osiris/Trials of the Nine experience to draw on. Where they got to see what people actually do in-game, rather than what they say on-line. In TDM or Elimination play modes, if you don't put in some objective that forces people to move out of their spawns and engage the other team.... ...they won't. Because (especially in the current team shooting meta) teams who camp and play defense have the advantage. Especially if they know the maps well enough to control the right sightlines.
