Good: Fast abilities give me some semblance of the power I used to have in D1. Eververse feels disconnected, and this makes me happy in my soul. Rewards are tied to a multitude of events; very smart, Bungie, and very appreciated.

Bad: Almost needing to race to the heavy makes it feel less like 2v2 clash and more like an objective-based game type. Heavy spawning at the beginning of the match gives the feeling that the outcome is determined by who lands the first rockets.

Ugly: Teamshot meta used to be annoying, but in Crimson 2v2 it feels like a necessity. I don’t usually run the meta strictly, preferring Vigilance Wing over MIDA, and The Number over Uriel’s. In this game type, however, it feels less like “I have to crush the opponent with my Crimson Bond,” and more like, “I need to attach myself to my Crimson Bond at the hip and cautiously stay back.”
