The rewards are a major problem in Destiny. Nobody gives a damn about Ghost Shells, Shaders, Ships, and Sparrows. People want tons of more weapons & armor to grind for. Destiny 2 is just far too based around cosmetics rather than actual loot.

I agree with your sentiment up to a point, although I would probably say that people LIKE those things, but what they WANT is weapons (that are cool, and aren't received 4 times in a row) and armour (that looks cool and has killer rolls). I don't think that it is "far too based" on cosmetics- My thought would be that it just needs more of the OTHER things that flesh out the game, rather than just slapping a coat of paint on.... not disagreeing though...

Honestly if they gave us rewards for grinding that were actually cool Id play it all night. Wtf happened to cool ornaments?
