Have you got to play in the 2v2 Crimson Days playlist yet?
If so, I want to know what you think?

Sofar i have the following ideas about it. - 2v2 on the new map is fun, makes a faster paced game and king-of-the-hill type playing due to heavy being in the middle. More close range weapons are being used, like smg and sidearms. - 2v2 on the bigger 4v4 maps is different playstyle and well by my experience less amusing since there is more evasion maneuvers and less agressive playstyle since you get scout-rifle lane shooting. - Good to have a PvP event, however unlike IB there are no daily challenges to earn the event-engram. - Good that PvE has a chance of earning event engrams as well, keeps everybody happy - Some in my clan find the rewards a bit disapointing because they are not really original in appearance or perks (exception are the emotes, but all in all it's opinion not a real complaint IMO) - D2 is getting a bit PvP orientated only with all the events, some PvE events would be needed - Double stacks of shaders because they turn into something different on dismanteling is increasing the Shader problem. (hope the adjustment due 27th feb will fix this) - Could have been some Valentine-questing like the Xmas gifts where we get to deliver letters or gather ingredients for gifts. Overall it's a nice event and the tower looks nice.

Its the most fun I had in D2 PvP. Movement speed, abilities recharge time and everything. Also 2v2 feels like real oldschool trials, in 4v4 it doesnt. Also I hope you're playtesting for rumble or for overal PvP in this mode as it feels great. Also nice to see actual kills and not KAD at the end of the round. Keep it up.

9 RepliesDear Cozmo
If so, I want to know what you think? Post your feedback below. Thanks!
You keep saying you are listening but what proof do we have of this? You ask for feedback and get a LOT of responses, then complete silence from you. Surely, you listening means absolutely nothing if you don't actually hear what is being said. it is only common courtesy to reply to a few posts ( i know you would not have time to answer them all but just try responding to a few) and it might demonstrate that you are not only listening but have heard at least what some people have said. To me this attitude just seems ignorant and arrogant.

3 Replies2x Titans and pulse nade spam is absolute BS.
-
13 Replieshaven't and won't be playing it, but i have seen a few threads complaining about either titans spamming pulse nades and barricades or hunters spamming skips with shinobus or smokes and void walls. as well as warlocks spamming rifts. so i was just wondering if you guys intended this to be an ability spam fest or did you guys just not play test it enough? I'm guessing it is the latter but I'm also guessing you wouldn't admit to either.

I really don't know what to say... On one hand sure 2v2 is a nice change. Makes for a more interesting game. On the other hand it sucks so much that you can't get it done to match fireteams vs fireteams and solo players vs solo players. It really wouldn't be that hard to do. Other than that: In Crimson days everything that sucks about the crucible in D2 has been multiplied by a factor of 100. Let's start with the dumb new ammo system. Yes you finally made it so that snipers aren't all you see in crucible anymore and that's great. But now all you see is people running around with the Colony. A totally ridiculous weapon. No idea which fool thought of creating that weapon. Oh and if it's not people with the colony then you have a team of arc hunters just standing there throwing there skip grenades. IT SUCKS. BTW the arc staff sucks as well. Just played D1 when the maintenance was and the bladedancer is so much better. Arc staff is slow as -blam!- you have 0 chance of catching somebody that runs away from you. On that topic: I really don't know what you were thinking when creating the new subclasses. Either you should have sticked with the old classes or create entirely new ones. But no you take away everything that's good and leave us with the bullshit. You build up that great story about loosing our light, why not stick with it? Instead you just find a workaround, rip us of our most beloved abilities and just -blam!- up the game. You had the opportunity to give us something completely new (some golden age tech or maybe bring a new ally into the destiny universe that gives us new powers and helps us fight the cabal). Anyway... Just remove the heavy from crucible entirely or at least from crimson playlist, that would go a long way already. Oh and I'll say it once again: If you are really interested in saving the Destiny please message me and ask me. This franchise has so much potential and it's really sad to see what you are doing to it.... Sometimes I feel like Bungie are really just a bunch of trolls who enjoy seeing people get mad.

I'm sorry, I think the 2v2 format is terrible. It's not fun, and particularly sucks when your team mate leaves the match. Backfill isn't enough. I think the tiebreaker is terrible. The rest of CD is okay but not enough to keep me coming back right now.

2vs2 is better than 4vs4, but the core issues are still there: no dedicated server, same weapons, boring weapon perks(mods are awful in D2), unbalanced class abilities... About the rewards: same useless ghosts, same reskinned sparrows, same useless ships and those shaders that I will never use. I liked the most Nightfall and Heroic Strikes(except the new ones, Infinity Forest is boring as hell), but there is nothing Crimson related to them. Also, I have friends who like to know how Nightfall and strikes work, since they left the game 3 weeks after game release and didn't check them out, but now they are facing the paywall, and they won't pay $20 for a 3 hours DLC. I wonder why your devs can't make a Level Sync system after 4 years. I'm still disappointed with this game, it's not worth spend my time to play it.

Edited by Subject-IV: 2/15/2018 5:57:45 AMPersonally I enjoyed it quite a bit. The new systems for event exclusive packages works out well and is a step up from The Dawning. The PvP game type is fun in a way that allows more action packed, high intensity, ability spamming gameplay that I missed from D1. I will go into more detail below. First the negatives: There is nothing really "new" and exciting to get my hands on and try out. Sure there are cosmetics but that is really it. You could have really built off the whole crimson days idea more adding weapons that either had the perks and/or looks to match the event. The only real added content is in the PvP, which to many is viewed as a flop. So while people who enjoy D2's PvP will be happy with this event, everyone else will just be playing the same game with a few new color pallets. Also the Ghosts given were extremely lack luster and could've been more unique. For example: When near a player with a Crimson Days Ghost shell you both glow red and have your mobility increased by one point. In the PvP the only big problem I have is the Hunters, their abilities were not balanced with spamming in mind and when they do... the game is not fun at all. Pros for the stuff: They system you set up where two packages are dropping per level is great. Also the inclusion of the exotic Sparrow and Crimson Enegrams in the doubles loot pool was an excellent idea allowing players to obtain event loot through gameplay only. Though the event is almost exclusivly PvP the Wardcliff's ornament being obtainable through the raid was a nice touch. Shaders look great and so do the ornaments of the Sweet Buisness and Graviton Lance. The Sparrows, while not very varied, have a cool effect. And the Ghost shell from the Shax quest was great. Pros for PvP: I have played my fair bit of both D1 and D2 PvP so I know what I'm talking about when I say this is a good game mode. Due to the ability charge rate increase when in close proximity with your partner things can get very intense and action packed with grenades flying everywhere. Players are allowed to play more aggressively, using grenades, melees and class abilities to push opponents without the fear of being overpowered by primary fire. When your partner dies you can have hero moments just like in D1 with your attributes increased significantly, making you a hard target to pin down and kill. Just do more of these chaotic, explosive, moment to moment action in all new game modes. Leave the tactical stuff in Trials. Also one thing about the heavy, I am able to out play heavy spammers by using my abilities which feels really nice. The Titain barricade really helps against explosives. Alright Bungie, to be honest the game is not bad at all. Destiny 2 is like a peice of toast with this event being honey. While I do not mind sitting down with a peice of toast and munching it down it isn't enough to fill me and I'll start craving something more. When you put the honey one the toast it improves the experience of eating it but doesnt really fill me up and I'll still be hungry. Crimson days was some good ass honey. But I would still prefer more content with my content. Some more food with my toast. Anyways the direction you taking is good, just keep adding more loot and more fun modes and it could rival D1. But if all else fails just revamp the whole thing like Taken King. Well that's it from me. Happy Valentine's Bungie.

Edited by Verseau: 2/15/2018 1:26:34 AMmaybe i sound like a broken record but here you go, my feedback for your -blam!-ing pvp and your -blam!-ing event "if i want to play pvp i will play rainbow siege" edit: of i almost forgot answer your primary question, nope i haven't played 2v2, yet. i haven't even touch D2 at all. and this post is just my usual morning forum lurking of all owned games (Destiny, Division, R6Siege)

2 RepliesI uninstalled your game weeks ago and have no intention of changing that.

Edited by REBELTech666: 2/15/2018 11:00:16 AMIt can be fun if the TTK is lower and movement faster (without the buff). Getting killed by the same weapons on console (mida, uriel) isn't fun after 5 months. The rewards are a joke. No new weapons, no armor... You took the right direction by earning Crimson Engrams trough gameplay but what for? Ghosts, sparrows... yippie yeah! And I'm not surprised that the loot of this event is so underwhelming. Why offer us some good loot through gameplay in comparison to The Dawning where you could buy those Engrams with some good looking armor in it. Mhhh.... Hopefully the sandbox update brings some good changes.

Introduce Team vs random sorting please.

Edited by Vorgantheine: 2/15/2018 10:30:23 AMGood: Fast abilities give me some semblance of the power I used to have in D1. Eververse feels disconnected, and this makes me happy in my soul. Rewards are tied to a multitude of events; very smart, Bungie, and very appreciated. . Bad: Almost needing to race to the heavy makes it feel less like 2v2 clash and more like an objective-based game type. Heavy spawning at the beginning of the match gives the feeling that the outcome is determined by who lands the first rockets. . Ugly: Teamshot meta used to be annoying, but in Crimson 2v2 it feels like a necessity. I don’t usually run the meta strictly, preferring Vigilance Wing over MIDA, and The Number over Uriel’s. In this game type, however, it feels less like “I have to crush the opponent with my Crimson Bond,” and more like, “I need to attach myself to my Crimson Bond at the hip and cautiously stay back.” . Horrible: Special slot is still gone.

Didn't really care for it, something just threw me off. Stopped playing your whole game.

1 ReplyHey Cozmo, how does one go about reporting a clan name in this android app? I just played against a clan with which I find highly offensive and extremely disgusting. The name of the clan is Tardian Down. So what, it's okay to make fun of developmentally disabled people now? Fix this immediately.

Edited by I JiuJu I: 2/15/2018 9:48:45 AMDepends if you like playing against two hunters with geminis, spamming nades and going invis every time the feel like they might lose an engagement, yeah nah. I'm not sure how you can keep f'ing up this game this badly, alas, you continue to dazzle me!

It's now no different than trials sweaty

5 RepliesHey man. Let me preface what Im about to say. I have played Destiny since tge D1 beta. 4500 hours logged on D1 over multiple accounts. I had a problem. I have also played D2 quite a lot and enjoyed it, albeit much less than D1, but I think we have covered that ground... So what do I think of Crimson Days? I hate it. Heres why. Rewards: I dont think I even need to say this because it is so obvious, but they are terribly lackluster. Game Mode: pvp only kind of sucks, but the real issue i have is that every match is a duo of hunters with tracking grenades....forever. it takes 2 to kill you, they go around shields, no one even shoots guns... Just stand around until some one gets bored and then they die amd the other team gets the upper hand so for the rest of the entire match they just stand there with skips. Terrible. Matchmaking: Always been an issue. Still is an issue. Doubles makes it exponentially worse. I understand I need a partner. But no one plays D2 anymore and I certainly cant entice them to come back with these kind of rewards. So I go in and each time i get some one who doesnt play well and dies constantly. So I leave. Fun. I hate it. Nearly snapped the disk. Review my game history if you like.

Edited by DerSh4vo: 2/15/2018 8:02:21 AMDear Cozmo, i was surprised but crimson seems to be fun. Theres only one big problem, the ability spam. Hunters with 2 skip grenades every 5 seconds... you cant push your enemy, when they throw grenades around corners. Same with Axiom, same with smoke. Reduce the Ability recharge to normal and think for an other bonus, that make the game fast, like faster movement. With the grenade spam the game becomes a camping fest...

Love it, the fast-paced gun fight so much like D1. Best event yet ever👍👌

6 RepliesFUN! MAKE IT PERMANENT. We can see that trials is best for 2v2 or 3v3. 4v4 is team shot fest & boring!
-
Ok first I'm sick of getting these garbage shells. Everyone wants the emotes only put the damm things up for sale. Now the game. I was in several matches where you die it spawns you to the other side of the map away from your partner. The other team had a field day bouncing back and fourth picking us off 2 on 1. And your bringing in a quiter penalty huh? You get stuck in that crap and see if you don't quit! One match your lagging they eat bullets, one grenade explosion with full health kills me. Yet my grenades do nothing they eat bullets. It's just no fun at all! I really hate playing crucible. Just put the emotes only up for sale so I don't have to play this trash!
