2 RepliesNo interest in pvp. Why no Sparrow racing with it?
-
Awful for solo play - constantly matched against teams. Grenade spam buff promotes camping. Extremely frustrating.

1 ReplyBurnout Map should have been a quest first. Should have had us do a quest on that PVP map first. I believe that was done at least one back in destiny 1. Would have been nice to introduce some type exotic weapon quest and bounties to go along with it. Could have introduced a D1 exotic weapon to go along with that map.

I rarely play PvP as it is and not a fan of 2v2 and so it's another milestone that just sits in the Director until next reset. Although I do like the free Bright Dust that I'm getting from the ghosts, sparrows and shaders.
-
nope...your pvp sucks

He who controls the heavy has a great chance of winning most of the time. D2 PvP maps too small and radar too strong. Played as a hunter, and I hate my hunter, with a friend and we just used shinobus vow and spammed skip grenades. Real exciting. Did it the first night and no more. And on a side note, are there so few people playing these days? In quick-play, I often get matched with people in freaking Japan and I'm in Texas. This game has been such a train wreck why has no one been fired? I mean seriously. I just don't get it. 5k hrs in D1 and 800 in D2 on two accounts. I play your game but it's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. You just can't take your eyes off. We D1 long time players are just stunned you could reverse so much and take a game that was a racehorse like the USA and turn it into the socialist gaming dream of the former USSR. So, like the Titanic, I'll probably play till the ship finally disappears beneath the cold dark sea just so I can say I was there, through it all.

2 RepliesActual feedback on Crimson 2v2 as requested. Very much enjoy the change of pace from 4v4 as well as the faster recharge rates. Feels good. Honestly the best part is getting to play clash as much as I want. I'm not a fan of the other game modes (in fact I prefer elimination above all, please bring that back) and being forced to play them in Quickplay has not been awesome. All that said, we do have an issue I believe this event is highlighting, and it's one that will only get worse with some of the upcoming sandbox changes being suggested, specifically relating to more power ammo. Instead of using the whole map and trying to outplay the other team with strategy and gun skill, it simply is a power ammo dance. Everyone immediately takes a position by power, throws grenades and jockeys for position to get it. The team that does, wipes the other team. If they have swords, it can last until the next power and the match is won. In and of itself, this can be a fun way to play, but it's more king of the hill than clash. My real concern is that with the suggested changes to power ammo (i.e. Faster spawn rates and drop on death) the game will feature these weapons too much of the time. Power weapons are truly powerful relative to primary and thus tip the scales way too far in firefight. I'd actually argue we need less frequent power ammo and stronger primaries to counter those who have it. If the concern that upping power ammo is attempting to address is that people want to be able to use more non-primary weapons, id think hard about moving fusions, shotguns, and snipers back to secondary (with appropriate balancing) or lowering the power ammo you get when you pick it up (e.g. 1 rocket, 2 shotgun, 2 fusion, 3 sword, 3 grenade) so as to prevent one team simply owning the other.

Edited by Ardour: 2/15/2018 7:55:19 PMKinda sad event. Well, even faction war was better since they gave some new guns at least. And here we have loot boxes with useless trash. Oh yeah and 2v2 pvp. It was so owesome when I was fighting premade hunters duos wich were using granade skip granades spam only. Bungie, your pvp broken, stop forcing it so hard. So we have event wich focused mainly on terribad pvp and loot, wich in any other game with similar loot mechanic considered as trash only for dismantle. Would be nice if you could make the game friendlier for solo players. Some ppl dont have nerd friends. So they dont play raids or that stupid pvp with -blam!- gankin mechanics where its even impposible to make a double kill when you flank enemies :) Pls take out shields and make oneshot from weapons like revolvers to the thead leathal please.

9 RepliesJust discouraged at the amount of folks who seem to be cheating, inadvertantly or not. Mostly the situation of dumping a mag into an enemy for little effect and then getting two shot... Also: a couple monsters have been created- the smoke spamming Nightstalker, and the get-one-kill-then-hide-and-barrier-spam Titan. At least we can get stuff without battling try-hards in doubles...

The boost you get when a partner dies is insane. It's actually disorienting how fast I am when I have it

8 RepliesOnce again the solo player gets screwed over . Smh

Have you got to play in the 2v2 Crimson Days playlist yet?
Movement physics, time-to-kill, weapon load-out's, and armor "perks" (the lack of) are still the same. So, no.

2 RepliesThe 2v2 Clash with an Elimination final round has been a blast! Even the losses have been hard fought and keep me coming back for more. Solo queuing is a nightmare for average players, but in a fire-team it's the best Crucible mode in the game right now. Implementing the quitter penalty is needed desperately to keep matches reasonably fair. Nothing feels worse than having to kill a guardian who's stuck alone by a horrible teammate. Ability spam is excessive but fun for a limited time event. This definitely highlights the need for an uptick in abilities for regular Crucible and PVE. There have been several occasions which we've been completely owning the other team, yet they get a Super before we do. Not sure how that works? I agree with what's been stated a couple of times below on the subject of Power Ammo. Every mode in the game has essentially turned into Control (for the Power spawn). What was wrong with having 2 crates spawn on opposite sides of the map, at the same time, with everyone inside the radius getting ammo like D1????? Fighting with the opposite team AND your teammates over one crate in every round of every game isn't fun.

Learns from this please. It had a survival feel. Your comoeditive llayists need to be short like cats was. There should be no reason why survival and countdown are so drawn out like they are. Countdown should be 4 rounds. Survival 3. Cdays was fast paced. You where in amd out if games. Everyone I played with was having fun. But please let this feedback go towards compeditive play. Stop drawing out matches that dont need to be drawn out.

I have been having a great time. I play with members of my clan. I actually have been running with the same clanmate because we play well together. If you look at my kd in Crimson, it's actually better than my overall Quickplay. I work better in Crimson because I only have to worry about one person. And honestly, I don't because my teammate and I know each other's moves. I would have really like some crimson armor. I do like the new sparrows and emotes. I have run into the double nightstalker with antiope situation and although it's frustrating, I count it as a learning experience. I also experienced some cheating but that's in any destiny pvp gameplay.

1 ReplyI like the format, you can lose a round w/o the whole match becoming a stomp. The ability recharge is crazy, feels like Mayhem at times minus supers every 10seconds. Usually results in plenty of smoke, rift, spam but it's fun to work out how to counter a team's playstyle. Amount of loot is typical for the crucible with plenty of blues, legendaries and engrams. Was pleased to get a random crimson engram just by playing a round. Amount of XP gained is pretty high, ~8k with a well rested plus medallion going so grinding engrams shouldn't be too terrible. Overall, the event engrams are coming pretty quickly. Gifting 1 per character out of the gate is nice and having them drop as you level up is a nice change from past events. Raid dropped the wardcliff coil ornament as advertised. Looking forward to getting some more 2v2 time in throughout the week when my preferred dance partner is on. He didn't get on until later in the evening last night and I had to do a spawn pickup so I only got about a dozen or so games in.

a lot of fun, much better than the original 2v2. great pacing, lots of ways to set up your enemy. needs to be a permanent game mode.
-
1 ReplyI played last night. This mode is insane in terms of the grenade/ability spam. I had fun with it but a few concerns. There were times were me and my teammate would spawn so far away from me. Also it would be a 1v1 and the enemies teammate would spawn behind him? Anyone else see jacked up respawns? Besides that fun mode can't wait to see what you do next
-
good job on bungie's part, in my opinion. the fun and collectability of the new cosmetics doesn't hinge on microtransactions but the option is there for the spend-happy. the mode itself is a TON of fun WHEN YOUR PARTNER STAYS WITH YOU. matchmaking makes it dicey as you could easily get some knob that doesn't know the rules. I have had a lot of fun with this FREE event. I applaud your transparency as of late, and look forward to future improvements. I only feel bad about the amount of blind hate that is seen on the forums.
-
The event is great. Only thing I can suggest for next time is either make the power ammo spawn in random places throughout the match or make no power ammo spawns.

1 ReplyI love it, don't listen to all the complainers about ability spam as there will always be people who will use cheap tactics but it is much more satisfying when you smash said cheapness. It's a game mode that allows you to make plays and feel the space magic again most fun I've had in D2 PvP.
-
It’s a fun game mod as long as the other team is willing to push a bit. Not the best as you can just camp on heavy a bit too much.
-
I have only played one night so far but i liked it. I like the fast pace of it. Although with that added fast pace, larger maps would be nice because you or the enemy can move up on you incredibly fast and the larger maps would contribute to the debuff you get for not staying close to your partner. Some Crimson armor sets would have been nice along with an event specific gun or two to increase the want to play and chase those event specific rewards

Edited by beedel: 2/15/2018 4:56:17 PMI tried it, it's boring, It's fluff. All we do is defend a heavy spawn. God help randoms who use matchmaking , they get destroyed. This token system is pretty terrible, and not very satisfying. Go back to direct rewards after kills. We're tired of Beta testing your frickin game after 4 years!!
-
Edited by MoonlightHare: 2/15/2018 4:57:33 PMI am enjoying it. I like the frequency at which engrams drop and the length of time the games take. I love the fact that abilities and grenades regenerate faster. Although it is a team match I have found that I can sometimes flank the opposing team alone. It’s much more fun than regular Crucible. I would say that it is a good event and hopefully things will continue in this vein. I would say that there should be more than just cosmetic items but given the length of time between The Dawning and this event I think that it was a valiant effort
-
Wow even Cozmo's getting zero likes these days. From the looks of it a lot of folks just aren't enjoying the handful of tokens you get.
