Have you got to play in the 2v2 Crimson Days playlist yet?
If so, I want to know what you think?

1 ReplyIt was worth doing just for Shaxx's line about him and Lady Efrideet. ;) More seriously... very cool new battle mode. Some cool new loot, though you should have had some of the new Ghost shells be the old shape. Like the new sparrows and shaders. And kudos for keeping Eververse out of it.

Honestly...I’ve actually been enjoying it. Nice change of pace and been able to “make some plays”. I’m on team random rolls or expanded mods...ie. something to chase. I used to love how at the end of any match a god roll could drop...so the game is still lacking on the loot front but last couple days have been fun game play wise. Also sent/received a couple new friend requests after a couple good games and wanted to stick together as a team for a few. Overall, it’s been positive for at least 1 guardian.

2 RepliesThe game mode itself is nice and I'd like to see it introduced into the game without the Crimson Days buff. Having a round based clash I think is a good addition. For Crimson Days itself, the movement speed buff is great and it makes me hope that that's the kind of movement speed to expect with the big Sandbox Update. I also liked getting my super more than one in the match. The grenade, melee, and class ability regen from the buff is fun but there are some abilities where it just becomes annoying when you're on the receiving end (skip nade spam especially w/ Shinobu's vow, pulse nades, barrier and healing rift + arc soul spam). I also liked the range between players for the buff. I didn't feel like I had to be tied at the hip with my teammate.

I'm not particularly interested in it, but I've played a bit (and will play some more). I'd very much rather have PvE content (special oranges/yellows/mini-bosses to track down), modified Lost Sectors (even if it's mostly just renames with a few bonus enemies), with a bonus for doing it as a pair (or three person fireteam). The biggest problem with 2v2 has been matchmaking. Skill has been an issue (it's a very one sided game almost every game), but it isn't as bad as latency (or perhaps people cheating?). Every other game neither me, nor my partner, can hit the enemy. The rather useless ping bar tells us both we're full (and thus it should be good?), but they don't seem to take appropriate damage, and occasionally they warp. Now, giving the benefit of the doubt, we're just getting matched with people far enough away that it's a problem for us. But coming back to this event from Overwatch (and other games with dedicated servers), the combat is just bad.

Too sweaty just like Trials. The Trials guys would have loved it. Reducing Crucible to four changed it to a follow the leader type mechanic. Two even worse. Not for me, I did my Hunter Clan crucible contribution then stopped, did not even bother with my two other characters. Having more fun levelling up a new Warlock in D1. Bight the bullet Bungie bring back the D1 weapon system the current one in D2 is rubbish.

Have you got to play in the 2v2 Crimson Days playlist yet? If so, I want to know what you think? Post your feedback below. Thanks!
ether its buged as hell or full of cheaters. i got stuck with the same opponents for 10 matches in a row and no mater what my team did we couldn't even break their shields. No damage whatsoever but they could kill is with a single bullet. Also this guys nova bomb exploded in huge a.o.e. dealing damage with all three elaments that then sent out seeking child nades.

1 ReplyIve been posting about this abundantly... Your short timers make doubles non skill based, rushed, and not fun. Doubles is not a "Mayhem" mode with an unnecessary focus to hurry and get the kill before the round time ends. Doubles is not about having boosted abilities or being influenced to stick attached to your team player without individuality. I see that the devs wanted to invent a way to cause players to want to stay side by side in crimson pvp. But YOU NEED TO START LISTENING TO THE COMMUNITY FEEDBACK = We do not want a Teamshooting PVP. Influencing people to stay together keeps the teamshoot meta alive. Recognize that players want their own heroric moments with multi kills possible like in D1. A 2V2 helps accomplish that but it is diminished with your terrible idea of ability and grenade spamming twin perk. Stop the teamshoot trash already..stop trying to change Destiny 2 being different than Destiny 1 pvp. Your Destiny 1 pvp was fine the way it was DONT CHANGE WHAT WAS NOT BROKEN! You should have just released clash or mayhem if you were going to turn Doubles into a testing lab to mix the modes. This is why you are asking for feedback, to see what the ginea pigs think.... well this lab rat asserts that you terribly made this Crimson PVP suck. I wanted to play drawn out matches where i could compete with my enemies without having to force myself into them because the timer was going to end in 20 seconds and we needed 1 kill to tie or win. Recognize what position players are put in with swift timers and short rounds. Recognize how the game experience is changed. Recognize that some players want to actually compete by pulling ahead, then getting behind, then coming back up again for the win. With the factor of short timers, this decreases the opportunity to compete this way; with careful strategic, patient gun play, and coordination. Your current D2 doubles is a rushed confrontation with grenades spamming left and right. It is not fun. Think of the success and enjoyment of Destiny 1 Crimson Pvp. It was excellent the way it was. This is a huge disappointment. And i also left out other failures of this game that made doubles not fun, but that's for a different conversation. Please release a traditional doubles next time, or just put out mayhem if your going to make Crimson a wannabe mayhem mode. Stop changing what is not broken. Stop trying to experiment with new ideas. So far, your new ideas have not worked. Social media and this community do not like the current state of Destiny 2. Stop messing this game up! Listen to my feedback, It is rational and logical! Find yourself, you are lost!

Forget about crimson days and worry about the hundreds -thousands of other complaints about the game before there is no one left to play it! Sorry if that was harsh. Carry on.

1 ReplyGoing up against two nightstalkers spamming smoke bomb is probably the most annoying thing I've encountered in Destiny. Otherwise I've had a lot of fun! Great to be able to hop into a match with a friend and not have to just wish that our luck gives us good teammates.

I usually don't play Crucible, but Crimson Days is super fun. You really have to work well with your partner and very often when I played the matched would get very close, and come down to a single play. A single well placed rocket, a kill that was almost entirely luck. Very good times.

Skip Grenade + Shinobou vow is a little too strong. Slowing the capture speed of OT would help too.

2 RepliesFor the love of god stop making these fun playlists limited!!! It’s like you WANT to lose players. Mayhem should’ve stayed after dawning, and doubles should stay after this. If you don’t like it, don’t play it. However, some of us are enjoying doubles more than any other activity right now.

1 ReplyPersonally I'm not at all interested in the 2v2 PvP, so the entire milestone is wasted for me. I really would have loved doing some PvE as an alternative though. Getting engrams for heroic strikes would have been great.

Edited by SteeleIT: 2/15/2018 11:23:49 PMWithout a doubt the most fun I have had In Destiny 2 PVP. Cool down reduction is phenomenal and as with mayhem, people like that. Having a playlist other than a 4v4 is a breath of fresh air to us and It is something I feel that a majority of the player base (that would consider returning to the game) will return for in the fall release. That being said, there is still an issue with team shooting steamrollers and without an decrease in individual ability cool downs. I fear the return of 6V6 will only suffer from the same issues. With the vast amount people talking about the change in weapon loadouts, the only thing I have heard (via a content creator somewhere) is that you are still standing by that change. Why has there been no conversation about this? Is this just to big of a change to go back on now? If so Just say so, if its something you guys are playing with eventually and is tied up to the power tuning that would be invoived, just say so. Is it something that is talked about or is it just ignored? let us know. For many players this is THE reason they went back to D1 or just stopped playing D2 because of. Snipers like to snipe shot gunners like to shotgun. We Shouldn't have to fight with teammates over shotgun and sniper amo in my opinion. Skill needs to be rewarded in this game like every other FPS game bungle has made. I would really like to hear something on this. Thank you for keeping the game going and working with us to improve the game. I know there is a lot of work ahead for you guys and people that we are glad you are doing it. Keep up the good work.

Only 2 days of Crimson Days milestones? None today. Only got the "new" map 1:30 matches, really? Miss Destiny 1. #freedomofspeech

1 ReplyPlease explain to the community why sparrows, shaders, ships, and ornaments are now the only “loot” that you create. And they all look EXACTLY the same. You need to tell your community your plans for the future, because this is the most pathetic looter in the history of gaming. Your marketing team only had one chance to fool us by saying there will be “tons of loot!” Now, we know better. Remember when Deej tried to say that the new PE would be the most rewarding ever? #2tokensandablue Just level with us! Why is your loot so terrible? How do you plan to make it better? How did this happen? How will you prevent this from happening in the future? How did we go from a game with so many iconic weapons to this sad mess? How did we go from the interesting, useful armor pieces to bland crap that have ornaments that are also bland?

Crimson days shaders kinda no really suck. You have 2 different shaders with black in them and the only color that is prevalent is Pink. What would have really been cool was a shader with black red gray and either pink or white as an outlier or trim but no you go with pink being the major outlying color.

1 Replytried the pvp and i quit in the middle of the match, my partner was doing his own thing, and my opponents were just holding hands spamming grenades.Great job bungie.

You can give us all the modes and matches and paper thin content (that should already be in the game) you want... but the gameplay and end game are such a pale shadow in comparison to D1 that no amount of extra content is going to help. The foundations are rotten, nothing you build on D2 can truly be any good (or at least as good as D1) until you knock it down and start again. Until then all your doing is feeding us the same shit sandwich just sliced differently.

To be honest, stopped playing altogether few weeks ago and this is the weakest of the PvP special events for my tastes as I like the larger scale combat. Unless there is fresh, innovative, pve content soon, I'm probably permanently done. Didn't like the event in d1 either.

1 ReplyMore ghosts? More sparrows? Haha. Dude game is a joke.

From a 1500 hour D1 Vet, that had it on PS4 and XB1, and a player that left D2 after buying it for 2 systems. I logged in just to play enough to get some shaders. Finished the Milestone, and won 5 out of 6 matches. My k/d was always above 2.0, sometimes even 3. I was solo queue since none of my friends play. I'll say this... it was a step in the right direction. I won a couple 1v2's. It was nice to not have to hold my teammate's hand. I could roam a little bit and block doorways with grenades. I used 2 supers in a match. I had to turn my sensitivity down. It was a nice... breath of fresh air. I enjoyed the gameplay itself. With that out of the way... I didn't keep playing once I got the Milestone. I discussed it with a friend. The gameplay was BETTER. But the game wasn't. I contemplated playing longer. But I couldn't. It wasn't 'fun' and I don't need ships and sparrows and shaders. There's no reason to play other than to just play. So I checked out the new mechanics, got the same loot from my engrams that I already had, and I logged off to go play The Division. I'm not trying to cross-promote or compare the 2. But.. I need a 6 piece armor set over there. I have 5. I will keep playing that game for hundreds upon hundreds of hours until I get that piece I want. Destiny doesn't have that. And until they do, I don't see myself returning. I hope you see this Cosmo and pass that information along.

2 RepliesNo interest in pvp. Why no Sparrow racing with it?
