Have you got to play in the 2v2 Crimson Days playlist yet?
If so, I want to know what you think?

Loving the 2v2 dynamic and the "stay close" mechanic.. even when playing as a single player I've had enjoyable games... Can we keep it?
-
Been having a blast. Short matches so if I am totally outclassed, it doesn't last long. Love the new map. If you tweaked down the nade recharge, I wouldn't complain, but my nades charge just as fast as theirs so it doesn't bother me too much. I can see how not having a friend on voice chat might make this less fun, but with a friend it has been my favorite Crucible mode. IMO, you should keep it as an option even after the event ends. Tons of fun

It was fun. Strong go fast rush down will always dominate. Ability recharge was much to fast. Looks like we were testing the grounds for rumble. The player skill gap was prevalent. You get crushed by sweats, rush down. Or you crushed the other team with spam abilities, and rush down. The only thing I would change is forward movement while being shot. I would implement being shot makes your forward movement slow down or get pushed back. To slow the rush. Slow ability charge and a rank system.
-
So far biggest complaint solo matched against fire teams. Anything Cozmo, pass along?
-
This sucks. Might as well sign your death warrant if you are a solo player going against two friends or going against two hunters. Get rid of the ability buff. Just keep it like normal clash for two v two. Hunters smoke and skip grenade with chinobos vow ruin it.
-
Its fun. The charge up times for supers are perfect since i get supers 2-3 times consistently in every cruicible match. It should be kept that way after the event.
-
Was fantastic. Loved every match I played. Got most of everything so far and will be grinding tonight for the rest. Good event so far. Personally I wouldn't mind if microtransactions were in these events, but just not as loot boxes. Let me buy what I want directly and aslo have it earnable threw gameplay as well. I dont mind supporting the live team, I juat don't like gambling.

Here's what I am seeing. If your good at trials, you like it. The entire rest of the community hates it.

5 RepliesNothing you do is going to matter if you don’t address the underlying issue. No game mode changes, no proximity buff, not even moving snipers and shotties to primary and giving them elemental damage with high-caliber ricochet explosive rounds that create an area of effect with masterwork range will help. Heck, you could give us all 900 rpm Black Spindles that fire Gally rounds, and the next day we’d be right back here complaining because the underlying problem is your network architecture, netcode, and almost complete lack of exploit detection. I mean, yeah, you enhanced the reporting mechanic, but we both know you can’t rely on people knowing the difference between a cheating and bad netcode. Well, we *could* know quite a bit more if we had been given PRIVATE MATCHES at the turn of the new year! D1 helped us overlook the natural imbalance these issues created, because everything else was fun. There’s some fun in D2, but it dies off quickly, because in the end we’re shooting at the same stuff and somehow the raid becomes more of a grind than a challenge, and, much like real schools, you don’t reward teachers to teach. Well, you might bend over for YouTubers and OpEds, but they aren’t in the trenches in numbers, are they? There was a precursor to the fall of subscriptions/followers, which led to lower users, and that’s where your real problem is. And now, everyone who’s left has been forced to segregate into a skills-based caste system, a trend that is reinforced by paid-carries and elitist LFG reqs. Fundamentally, all your challenges are related and all your solutions are sound, but only in isolation. The problem is they create disjoins among the application domains, which translate to immediate disjoins in the user-base. In that case, given finite resources, you can only do one of two things: create two high-level domains, PvE and PvP, to maintain the integrity of the edges in each; or overhaul the network structure, using PvP to relieve the strain on PvE edges. Otherwise, your current roadmap will only encourage further isolation, attrition and segregation among users. Finally, I realize some of your challenges may be due to an inherent downside of Agile. One thing I’ve noticed no one admit to about Agile is that it assumes you start with a viable release that meets the needs of your market, a minimum viable product, or the specs for one from stakeholders. You don’t have that. That is, if you’re going to revert from version N to version 0, then you need to confirm V0 specs with your stakeholders. You didn’t. You just descoped arbitrarily. So, if you don’t start with an MVP, while each sprint looks great on paper, you’re actually working against the grain, continuously sacrificing either technical debt, bug fixing or product enhancements, where the process of accomplishment actually works against you because you got the start of the process wrong. Agile doesn’t really allow a natural course correction. Planning A includes a retrospective that you never have time to implement, and if you use Jira, you’re in a workflow that forces you to show progress, so you Won’t Do or On Hold and toss it all in a Backlog that won’t become relevant as your product or codebase moves further and further from your stakeholders’ use cases.

Congrats Bungo team! You managed to make Teamshot a FRIGGIN GAME MODE!

24 RepliesAll I want to know is did you guys put another throttle on crimson engrams or is my rng luck just horrible? I've played close to 100 matches between all 3 of my characters and have only received 1 crimson engam. Only other ones I have received are from when I leveled up

3 RepliesEach match seems to simply be a fight over power ammo and spamming grenades. Very little gun play. Once you own the power zone the match turns quickly. Maybe do away with power ammo for this mode?

Edited by An Engram Full Of Bees: 2/16/2018 6:22:17 PMA lot of fun! The Eververse loot was handled perfectly -- not too much of a grind, but just enough to keep us invested. Only gripe I have with it is that there are quite a few "meta" builds that really start to shine -- such as two Arcstrider hunters running skip grenades, Shinobu's Vow, and Last Hope. Because of the gamemode mechanics, you just can't win against this kind of combination. Otherwise, fantastic job. A huge step in the right direction! :)

1 ReplyI like this event but it should have weapons and armor as rewards. I like the game mode, but the rewards are trash. All cosmetics. This is a first person shooter with an event that does not reward armor or guns? This is a shooter right? Can I shoot someone with a shader? Can I shoot someone with a sparrow or ghost shell or emote? The decision to remove random rolls should have been quickly followed with the decision to increase the sheer number of different weapons 100 fold. We went from millions of possible perk combinations to a sad few. The grind for gear is nonexistent and the gear you do get you don't even look at before you shard it. Still, these kind of events are a step in the right direction but the fact that this game mode will be gone next week leaving us with regular boring crucible is not good.

I'm loving it. TBH I've actually been stepping back from D2 lately with Monster Hunter, finally got HZD frozen wilds DLC. And Civ 6 got it's Rise and Fall Expansion, AND my friends are doing a lot of private matches in D1 and I work more than full time. But from what I played yesterday it's extremely enjoyable! Events like this and Mayhem, and Sparrow racing *cough*, bring fun back to D2, make us feel powerful. I lost my first match because the amount of healing rifta was insane, but I switched off skips to arcbolt grenades and put on antiopeD and boom instant fun. I love the feel of the rounds, any longer would be too much. I haven't gotten the new map yet though :( and I'm gonna work this weekend for that emote because #ExoticsAreLife. Wish this lasted two weeks!!! I know you get a lot of flak for "no new content until May!" But this was pleasant, and with factions literally around the corner I'll will try once more to seal that FWC victory. I'll still be taking time off for other games, and probs playing more D1 than D2, but the changes coming are promising, and if it meant taking team members off of bigger projects to get it right, than that was a good call. I won't care about D3 or the "Taken Queen" or whatever if what comes in May is garbage.

Haven't played Crimson Days at all and don't intend to.
-
Regarding the crimson crucible I say keep it as a regular playlist cause it’s fun and it adds more dynamics to what we have but please do minimize time to kill team shooting is ridiculous it’s a giant wall. a solo player should be able to tactically get the drop on a group of people not get smashed as soon as he tries to be a hero.

2 RepliesGuys are quitting because the connection is terrible. Rubber bullets everywhere. When will you guys do something about this. CBMM over skill always.

11 RepliesEdited by Orkan: 2/15/2018 3:24:11 PMWe hate teamshot... so you force us into 2v2 teamshot mode. We beg for MORE players in crucible... and you REDUCE the number of players in crucible. We hate things that don't require skill... so you make insane rift, shield, grenade spam mode. We hate your p2p networking which rewards laggy players... so you have the 2v2 get matchmade with people from opposite ends of the planet. What do I think of crimson days 2v2? What do you think burning to death would feel like?
-
A PvE mode would be good like the PvP buff whenever you are close to teammates in strikes/raid etc or a specific two person strike playlist
-
Edited by Churi: 2/16/2018 7:59:04 AMI don't think it's as fun as the previous Crimson Days. The removal of the Elimination type match also removed any strategy, and now it's just an incessant fight over heavy ammo. Maybe make the heavy spawn only once per game? I feel like the individual rounds are just a tad too short as well.
-
Enjoying it a lot Cozmo, but haven’t really solo queued. My only complaint is that classes that have access to double grenades—double skips and double pulse—really spam abilities in ways that can reduce the competition of the match.
-
It's terrible! I am being 100% serious when I ask "Did any of you play test this?". Who thought it would be fun to go against 2 nightstalkers with Jesters on? Strat: stay together throw smoke everywhere around heavy while being invisible and taking down opponents radar(jesters). Get heavy while invisible. Wipe team with rockets cuz we have to be stuck at the hip. Rinse repeat. Literally 99% of matches have been this. Bungie you are rewarding two players because they can beat two other players while being invisible ( doesn't show on radar), using Jesters ( takes away radar activates while going invisible) and spamming smoke ( takes away radar). Do you see the trend? Either none of you actually play the game and don't realize how the game works or your play testers should be fired. This isn't fun. And this is coming from a guy who loved skirmish and salvage. 2v2 is fun when it's actually about the skill and strategy of 2 people v 2people. Not the spamming of abilities that make one class so dominant that it is pretty much unthinkable of playing any of the others. I feel like d1 yr3 crucible was fairly balanced. With the exception of stickies that literally would bend around walls. You are making the game unplayable for 90% of your community by doing this. There is a reason why people still played trials on a 3 year old game. Maybe you should look into why that was. Just my opinion.

1 ReplyIt’s trash. Gives good amount of Engrams but I got put in legit 10 games in a row with 1-2 rounds complete and I had no partner
