Have you got to play in the 2v2 Crimson Days playlist yet?
If so, I want to know what you think?
Post your feedback below. Thanks!

This is not what this game needs, more pvp oriented stuff. Events should be mainly focussed on new PVE story and lore with PVP as a side dish. That would keep the game fresh and immersive imo. I find events as they are rather boring tbh, there is no lore or story to them whatsoever, shame realy to let us play the same stuff over and over and...well you get the point.
-
This event was near perfect. The only things that could improve going forward - A bit longer cooldowns on abilities. The added power felt great, but there are just a few too many grenades being tossed around. Extra grenade usage is great, and really supports aggressive ability usage playstyles. - Have an earnable armor set. The Dawning left a poor taste in people's mouths regarding the fact that cosmetic armor was essentially impossible to earn. While the way rewards are dished out in Crimson Days is perfect, an armor set is noticeably missing. For events going forward, have an armor set that is realistically attainable through gameplay (at the very least on one character, not necessarily all three). Great stuff though!

The only problem i have with the gamemode is that it's really punishing if your teammate leaves. Maybe remove the drifted apart debuff from the person if he is the only person on the team.
-
It is hell of fun. Some minor matchmaking problems but overall a perfect pvp modus. The whole crucible should feel like this.
-
1 ReplyIt's not bad. The matchmaking needs work. Why can't we play against people that are around our skill level. One match is good the next a complete blowout. I can see a big skill gap in some games. A close game or hard game is fun. A complete blowout just sucks then my team.mate leaves because they aren't having fun and all I can do is run away. Honestly I think all the devs should solo que and play at least 10 matches with complete random to see what it's like. Come on guys feel our pain. Maybe if you do that you will have a better understanding of some of the feedback
-
The buffs you get feel like that should be how all crucible feels, it's pretty fun minus quitters then your just screwed
-
Tremendously dull. Even worse than trials. Leads players = less fun
-
1 ReplyI have played and I enjoy it very much. But I kinda want a more objective game mode to it. And maybe add some special super small maps that are basically cqb (close quarter battles) so you are maiming shotguns and sub-machine guns. That would be awesome!

the over arching issue i have is that i have no clue if i am performing good or if i justhave a good or bad connection .. one time i can swipe the enemy team with a single mag of my urials gift or blast both of them with the trials explosive scout, and in the next match i can stand in my healing rift and still lose a standoff against a guy with a submachine gun.. i can either not damage an opponent just to see him drop dead the next moment going from full health to dead in seconds AFTER i shot him... and some times i drop dead for no particular reason and the enemy that was supposingly shooting me i can see running in the distance on the other side of the map.. it really goes into such extremes that i was able to play for a good while being invisible and not able to damage other players .. so i just dont know about this. secondly: its getting boring to have two titans with aeon gloves shedding barricades like my cat sheds hair and spamming the entire map with pulse grenades.. maybe with the speed up increase its less annoying and boring but as it is today its just "leave the game and try again" time.. third:it seems bungie is using the CD for playtesting Rumble scoring.. whcih is GOOD, buit why did you not tell us about the new scoring ? its completely okay if only the kill blow counts as kill.. thats cool. just tell? fourth: MM for CD is GREAT.. just dont MM me with a full team of tryhard sweaties.. ok? never.. ok ? fifth: its basically a standoff over THE heavy ammo spawn.. rotate the heavy ammo spawn to avoid this. (same for ToO, or as its now called TotN) droprates are good, but that doesnt means you dont need NEW loot.. every time such an event comes along.. EVERY TIME..
-
Get rid of "buffing" and marking. Penalizing people for splitting up or rewarding them for sticking together severely limits how the mode can be played. Also rotating power spawns. The mode is seriously hindered by the limitations you put on the player.

I was having some fun with it first night. Tonight and probably through the rest of the event will be invis abusing nightstalkers will invis ever die? The Gemini jesters are as overly abused with invis to boot. I've preached since D1 that I loved hunters and that hunters have been underpowered but arc strider is trash and golden gun is trash so everyone runs invis on nightstalker. Invis needs to go and the range that geminis do their misdirect needs dialed down.

3 RepliesEdited by norutenki: 2/16/2018 5:42:02 AMIt's been a while since I've commented on forums but I had to thank Bungie for what they've done here. I haven't been able to play much since hurricane Maria blasted my island. I don't have internet nor power at my home and I go to a friend's house who has, and when I login I go for PVP and usually end up having a good time. Yeah some stuff could be fixed but today's all about Doubles. The event A-. Tess isn't a moneysink 11/10 Check off loot pool 11/10 If I can't play and get everything believe me I'd spend a buck or two. Loot 8/10 I didn't expect a weapon or armor but would have liked a ship to top it all off. But more importantly ghost perks that are meaningful for crucible instead or random that bring no benefit and exotic sparrows that feel instead of look exotic would be swell. Doubles specific: 2v2 feels fair - A D1 trials reminiscent feeling. - As long as you've got a steady partner. - It doesn't feel good to beat on solos, but that's a bigger issue. The debuff marker made sense. -Straying away from a partner, promoted enemy engagements and sticking to a teammate (aside from thematic) felt good and purposeful instead of trashy and unskilled for teamshooting "like we're supposed to do". The buff made sense but... -The ability cooldown is a bit on the high side when you're buffed but strongly improved pace and played well within the game mode. Hard no-no's: shinobu spam, shadestep/perma invis, wombo combo nonsense. I know none of these are a ohk but I can't see a darn thing the whole match. And 2 hunters looping stardust that chases brings back D1 PTSD. Overall like I said A-. Keep it up. Thanks again Bungie. Pray I get internet and power at my place soon.
-
Really enjoy the mode, but while being marked when straying from your teammate is fine I think the mark shouldn't be present when your teammate is dead or leaves the match. Although you get a buff, it doesn't compete with two enemies close together team-shooting and getting ability spam. Also since its only a 4 player mode, don't match single players with teams. Otherwise, love it.

Crimson Days PVP is the best version of PVP I've every played on destiny. And you don't need to be part of a clan or strategic team to win. It's 2v2 which is a truer test of how good of a player you are. I wish 2v2 with the "reunited" modifier was a crucible game option all the time.
-
Amazing. Please look into bringing 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 into competitive. This would really add unique gameplay options. Think of WoW's arena system. Leave the abilities as is though, that can stick with Crimson Days.
-
Crimson doubles has been without a doubt the single most enjoyable pvp mode in Destiny 2. Being able to carry my teammate and have more hero moments without being teamshot by four scrubs with midas has been the most rewarding thing I've experienced in D2 so far. Please please please make 2v2 a standard playlist.
-
I’m enjoying it a bunch. A step in the right direction for fixing what ails PvP! Keep it coming.
-
This is a very fun event, but only when you get teamed up with someone acceptably good. Having to carry a terrible player is even worse when it's just you and them.
-
I'm generally not a pvp player. But I've had fun. All matches I have done we're with strangers. And I had a blast. I lost more than I won. But I'm ok with that. I've even had a few friend requests. I honestly hope the mode stays around or come back frequently.

6 RepliesEdited by MrRockerman5000: 2/17/2018 6:04:43 AMNot very fun. Hunters are totally broken for 2v2. Golden gun lasts too long, they can go invisible and run away when they can't win, and they are everywhere. Time to kill is too slow to have any real effect of standing a chance on your own when it comes to that, which it does often. Making progress for going 1/5 doesn't feel very good. Here's your pittance for going through such an ordeal. Okay, that first part was pretty rage induced. Here's my more calmed down, thought out opinion. It's still harsh. In the current state of the Crucible, 2v2 has no place. This is due to one class being ultimately superior to the other two, the spawns working against you too much, the slow ttk, and matchmaking that makes no sense. I shall elaborate: Hunters. Congrats. With even fewer people, your abilities become almost god like. Unless you have a mouse and keyboard, your ability to go invisible gives you an aim assist off switch. With the sped up ability recharge, your smoke grenades can constantly leave opponents stuck in molasses. At least once, my partner and I nearly got double wiped by the golden gun. Going up against a Titan or another Warlock, I felt I had a fair shot at coming away with a win. With even just a competent Hunter aware of their class abilities, it wasn't even a fight or fun. The matchmaking was wildly inconsistent. I have only played six games so far, but out of them, one was a really close game that could have gone either way. Three games in a row my partner and I were blown out, wasn't even fun, we discussed stopping and maybe coming back later. The other two we blew the other team out. It wasn't even a contest those games. Some tweaking is definitely needed to maintain a more consistent experience, i.e. less blowouts. The spawns are also in need of looking at. For a mode that wants you to stick close to your teammate, several times I had me or my partner spawn across the map from each other. With the rounds being so short, it is a waste of time trying to get back together and continue the fight. By that time the opponents can effectively fortify themselves, and if you try going in one on two, it's sheer suicide (unless you're a Hunter. You probably could do a two on one). And finally, the TTK is still too slow for a mode like this. The maps are actually too large, in my opinion for 2v2 to not turn into a chase and shoot sort of affair. Being unable to effectively defeat your opponent in a 1v1 situation leaves the opponent to much of an opportunity to run and hide. Errors in tactical judgement are too easily forgiven and when the opponent runs, catching up can sometimes be difficult. As my closing statement, Doubles has not been the most enjoyable experience so far. Without some major tweaks to the classes and mechanics, there isn't much fun to be had. If the rewards were worth chasing, I would be willing to put up with more of it, but I have no room for more ghosts and sparrows. They all get dismantled. Next time, please include something worth chasing like another armor set or even a new weapon.

12 RepliesI do enjoy this 2v2 playlist only because it’s nostalgic and refreshing. However, the joy that came with this playlist got kind of tainted because of a major reason for me: I absolutely, whole heartedly, resent any implemented mechanic in Crucible that promotes hand holding, A.K.A stick around and shoot. I still truly believe, despite the effort you guys are putting to fix everything, teams at Bungie fail to truly understand SOME problems. THE WHOLE TEAM SHOOTING idea is one prime reason out of many others that has pushed players away from Crucible. Just that mechanic by itself, is enough to dull the gameplay. I know you’ve listened to people who seek more heroic moments, and thought cranking up the volume knob on abilities is one way to grant them that wish, ( well! it is) but still dont see you guys to understand that as long as ‘HAND HOLDING’ is present in Crucible, all other buffed elements are gonna remain undermined, It acts like a domino effect, that’s it. I’m aware of The upcoming changes and can foresee, to some extend, the changes in gameplay they can bring with them. This is just how I see things as of right now.

7 RepliesIf you are a hunter and use the skip grenade and the exotic arms, you are literally a shitty person
-
I enjoy it but it's basically who has the best and most grenades win, it would be much better if ability energy wasn't amped up.
-
Love it. Completely different to any other crucible
-
Really enjoying the two vs two game play!!

1 ReplyI think a 2v2v2v2 would have been more exciting. Four teams, 2 players per team. It could've been called "Lovers' Quarrel", or something equally cheesy. I also think it would be cool if there was an option to have a 2 player team take on a lost sector with double the amount of enemies and a time limit to successfully loot it for extra rewards and experience. This is just an idea to create a new gameplay opportunity without having to create entirely new content.
