will rasputin be retconned like brother vance or osiris?
i am scared rasputin will be retconned into a crazy computer; like failsafe but angry all the time. what are you expecting from the next dlc?

I think what you're getting at is that you're worried that Rasputin will be yet another hollow character. They introduced us to Osiris and I was like '....meh...'. If we finally get to talk to Rasputin or discern his motives it's a real possibility that he'll seem more like a kid stuck in a computer then a super intelligent A.I.

I wouldn't say Rasputin will be returning so much as he'll now be a stupid AI who needs the Guardians to "save" him from the evil on Mars...his long dead brother, Charlamegne who has been resurrected by Psions who now control him and thru him, Rasputin. At the end Charlamegne will be dead (again!) because Rasputin gave his life (so to speak) to save the humans he's always loved and never could hurt and stop Charlamegne's evil influence on him and spreading across the Galaxy with his "evil", robotic ( but not Vex) army!

Hard to say if he was meant to be an ally or not. D1 didn’t paint him as an ally though. He shrugged off his protection protocols during the Collapse so [i]he[/i] could live. Letting most of humanity die. We know of no attempt by him to save anyone at that point, so he was willing to let us all die out. That’s not an ally He saw Guardians, bonded to the Traveler, as a threat and killed them when they came. Even when the Vanguard sent Guardians to try and make peace with him. Even though he wouldn’t of been made without the tech boost humanity got from the Traveler. He said he learned from “IT” (presumably whatever caused the Collapse) how to survive and he will survive no matter what. Since awakening he has refused to activate his humanity protection protocols. I see two possibilities as to what’s going on. Either he has turned away from us but given his lack of a body (which was removed from D1) he is stuck in his computers and needs protection. Or, most likely, the events of the Collapse aren’t what we think they are. The Prime Guard armor flavor text seems to me to indicate the Collapse was a long drawn out conflict and most likely he learned something that made him distrustful of the Traveler. This harkens back to the original storyline. Which it seems like they are shifting back to, due to an inability to make a new cohesive story based off of it.
