Our worst enemy?
What do you guys think our worst enemy is?
A: The Fallen, a once noble race called the Eliskini that was attacked by the Taken King and abandoned by the Traveler(The Great Machine). They attack us because they think that we stole the Traveler from them and they want it back.
B: The Hive, a dark race of aliens bound to the Darkness by the Worm Gods who believe in the Sword Logic(the idea that only one race can live and I something doesn't constantly kill it is useless). They have the closest ties to the Darkness, destroyed civilizations, and corrupted
guardians.
C: The Vex, a time traveling, bio mechanical race that is connected by a single mind that is bent on destroying everything, including both the Light and the Darkness, so that nothing but the Vex exists. These robots convert our worlds into various facilities that break space and time to aid in this purpose. The Infinite Forest is meant to test theories the Vex have and plan out their battles, the Vault of Glass was used to erase entire timelines that do not favor the Vex.
D: The Cabal, a multi-species empire much like that of the Romans because the Psions and the Cabal are not the only race in the empire, they are just the ones we have seen in combat. The Cabal Empire is capturing our planets to grow the empire and has complex politics, they are unlike the other races because they are not fully posted in the system of Sol (the Hive have other armies but they roam around after they are done with there conquests and hollowing out small planets for war moons, sound familiar?). The main foot soldiers, the actual Cabal (the centurions, the phalanxes, the colossus... (colossi?) and the giant Cabal like Gaul use "morphs" to grow to gigantic proportions.
E: Corrupted Guardians, Heroes such as Rezil Azzir proved that the brightest like may make the darkest shadow. The noble man and his rose were twisted into the horrors Dredgen Yor and his Thorn by a Hive Knights bones that were grafted onto the rose. This corruption became evident in the crucible. The Noble Man lived a double life, he was still the Noble Man but was slowly being corrupted by the Thorn and one day in the crucible two legends died. This was a normal, everyday crucible match that was being broadcasted all over the city. The Thorn, so twisted and broken by the Knights bones, took on a certain property of the minions of the Darkness, it could permanently kill Guardians. Pahanin, the sole survivor of the first Vault of Glass raid, was slain by Dredgen Yor, only enough of the Noble Man was left to cast himself into exile. Later Dredgen Yor would kill Jaren Ward, whose ghost would choose a friend of Ward, Shin Malphur, to avenge his Guardian (Shin Mslphur was living when he became a Guardian, proving that you can be born with the Light) and was killed by Malphur. Then a fireteam of six Guardians learn of the Thorn and vow to follow in Yor's footsteps, to create Weapons of Sorrow, and to become the Shadows of Yor. This group, as far as I know of, is still active today.

Great post! Pathetic that even on a post like this the toxic have to come out. The only positive is they identify themselves and make it easy to know who to mute. I mean as posts go this wasn't inviting toxicity at all but noooooo. Anyways I believe our worst enemies are the Hive. Like others said, they're just plain evil. I could see The Fallen becoming allies and a playable race. They remind me of the race from the Halo series - I think it was Halo 3 where you also played part of the campaign as the Arbiter.

After the so called “Leviathan World Eater ship” arrived in Nessus orbit I wanted to prepare myself fo what was to come by gearing up. The weapon that I earned in the world seemed functional but not as interesting. My guns looked exactly, if not, similar to the tavern keeper’s handcannon that he treasures so much. Most of the weapons seemed rather week. At some times I’d find myself pecking away at a fallen major Captain with a energy auto.# “When me and my fireteam ventured into Leviathan to find and kill the Cabal Emperor, we faced many cabal soldiers, blocking our way to the throne room. I’m sending in a 6 man fireteam to to investigate they’re location, demand justice, and to put a stop to this. 2 Replieswhen it comes to evil i would have to say the hive, their culture is literally about death rituals and ripping peoples souls out not to mention the powers that the gods have, Oryx was by far the best villian in the franchise because of how much of a threat he was but he was not considered a GOD just because . Oryx and his sister's hell even his children were -blam!-ing nasty pieces of work. my question is, where does Salvathun go in this power equation, is she stronger then oryx was and if so by how much. and salvathun isnt our only trouble on the horizon ..... nobody seems to remember beyond the reaches of sol the beings in the pyramid ships were laying dormant (crazy theory stuff beyond this point) that is until the traveler awoke my question is what will these beings who draw power from the dark resemble will they be like the fallen, the hive? or perhaps they will be like us perhaps there were other settlements of humanity during our golden age with the traveler who left the confines of sol and became servants of the dark what if there are dark guardians and if so what would their powers be would they stand against us or would they join us after all darkness and light are two halves of the same coin perhaps there is a traveler of the dark my question is what is something that could threaten both the light and darkness to make them reunite in a single entity what would happen if a guardian harnessed both the power of light and dark these are questions id like to see awnsered

This might be a deep answer but our worst enemy would probably be ourselves. Guardians stealing and killing another when we have hive trying to snuff out the Traveler's light, Fallen trying to be pirates, Cabal's ruthless destruction, and vex desire to rule the entire universe.

tbh probably corrupted guardians as a possible worst threat though most foreseeable: 1. hive (with the obvious coming of savathun) (taken go with hive) 2. fallen 3.vex 4. cabal
