I know that I'm kind of new to posting regularly - on the forums, and I try to be very practical in my posts, but I'm going to just point out that seems like a horrible horrible idea to me. I'm not at all someone who flames, so I'm pretty sure none of these rules will apply to me, but still I find myself mildly chaffed by implication of these rules e.g. "We don't like criticism of the things we do, so we'll just make sure it doesn't exist..." For some, posting hypercritical posts IS their way of forwarding the conversation - so where does that leave those poor souls who love the came but are unable to express frustration in a reasonable tone? Just a thought - perhaps walking back from draconian forum policies might be a better option.

  • This doesn't really apply as such. They haven't said you can't make complaints about the game. Making it to the farm is pretty much saying you have to play the game to make posts on their forum. The farm is visited at the very beginning on the game. The issue I believe they are having is that people will create accounts purely for the reason to criticise the game and anyone who enjoys it. It's got to the stage now where that's all you read on here. Every thread by people who praise the game (Hell even this one) is filled with comments complaining about nothing in particular. When some of the trolls get banned all they do is set up another account and continue. They can still do this, of course, but now they need to put more effort in. Hopefully that'll be too much for most. No one is stopping people from complaining. It's just you need to now play the thing you're complaining about.

  • Noted - and you make an excellent clarification - I would speculate that there will still be misinterpretation of the reasons for these new rules - justifiable though they may be.
