I am a Warlock main and have been since the beginning of Destiny 1. I am trying to get into Titans, but I am struggling because I have no idea what I am doing. I am sick of getting messaged by little children who think they are amazing at this game because they killed a noob who is clueless how to use a Titan. Any Titan gods out there willing to give some advice on what to use and what play style works best are much appreciated and will be forever remembered in my heart as the 'real MVPs'.

Equip a shotgun and run around like an ape

Edited by FutureWarPunk: 2/7/2018 9:28:03 AMTitan main here. I would suggest sticking to Striker in PvP. Grenades - Pulse Grenades Jump - Catapult Lift Ability - Towering Barricade Because Titans are so slow, I would also suggest having a minimum of 4 agility and equipping the Dunemarchers exotic. These will increase your sprint speed and slide distance. The trick with Titans is environmental awareness. Know where your flanks are, these are the areas you should fortify with a barricade or use as an escape. Practice this a lot! Alternatively, the barricades can also be used as a weapon. Enemies will almost always lunge for a melee through a barricade if they are close enough to you. Bait them in and immediately lead in with a melee of your own. When actively using a Fist of Havoc, don't get greedy. If the enemy is too far away, you're likely to die. Enemies that are far away almost always have someone else with them. Use the third person view to your advantage and don't be afraid to use your Shoulder Charge to zig-zag your way closer to opponents.

Cob a grenade in and do some damage. If you’re up close throw a grenade and then melee. Get used to the Titan jump, which isn’t hard, and there isn’t much difference in how I play with my warlock. Just keep playing, you’ll figure out what suits you best by trial and error. Personally I like the lion rampant, you can use them to avoid colony insect pods, escape high obstructions or fool them when they’re round a corner watching their radar expecting you to run up but instead drop down with death from above, again using pulse grenades. That might not be your style though.

Titan plays no different than the other classes since abilities have high cooldowns. Just team shoot. You can't rush in and melee without getting focus fired anyway

1 ReplyI use ARs and War Rig chest armor. Pulse grenades and smash everything. Check your Resilience stat is high. It’ll take longer to kill you.

7 Replies1. Create a Titan class character 2. Select your created Titan class character. 3. Play game until the Crucible game mode is available. 4. Select Crucible from menu 5. Play Crucible with Titan class character.

2 RepliesEspecially for a Titan newbie, go Striker. Titans are a CQ class, get used to rushing and using your fists. As much as I hate MIDA, a good early build would be Code of the Earthshaker with Pulse Grenades, MIDA Multi-Tool and MIDA Mini-Tool, and either Lion Rampant (for increased boost) or Synthoceps (for increased melee range), with armor built for Resilience with a secondary emphasis on Mobility. Use MIDA Multi-Tool for long or mid-range encounters, and use the speed boost to close distance and get in the enemy's face - swap to Mini-Tool, fire a few rounds, chuck a 'nade, throw a punch, if they try to run away chase 'em down. Main thing with a Titan is, you're looking for a fight - not running away from one. If you play aggressive, most opponents will try to flee...never turn your back on a Titan. :D

4 RepliesEdited by Muka Gatals: 2/6/2018 6:35:46 PMI am a Titan since D1. In D1...I can switch to Warlock and Hunter...can adjust My playing style and enjoy it. In D2...I can switch to Hunter and change my playing style..enjoy it. But Not Warlock..! D2 Warlock is horrible. I don't know what is the strong point of D2 Warlock. Recovery and what?? Anyway..You need to find Titan strong point and Adjust your playing Style.. Its a melee based class. It clear strong in D1. Somehow in D2 they nerf many Titan identities. Even D2 Hunter win the melee fight against Titan now. In the mean time..Could you tell me How to play D2 Warlock. Rift seems boring To me...I like to move..not camping.

1 ReplyGit gud getting close to ppl if ur gonna use smash. Slide, shoulder charge, smash. Double pulse. Tall barricade to distract but don't stay behind. Catapult for ur movement, barley jump off the ground and go straight fast. Throwing hammers with mini explosion is easy. Shoulder charge weak enemies fallow up with smg/side arm. Sentinel offers more defense throw shields, give over shield to ur team. Bring up ur shield when they shoot at u make orbs, hope ur team is pushing up while u sponge dmg.

I might play Titan again. You’ve inspired me to return to my Titan.

Well first you need the looks. For crucible, get full crucible armor with ornaments and put Calus’ Selected Shader (white purple gold). You look awesome. I started using Striker when I did play Titan, and use pulse based (obviously) as they are consistent and good for covering an area. Along with the 2 maxes with the top skill tree. Lion Rampant improves the Titan jump significantly. The action war that and Sweet Business are nice combo if I recall. But only use towering barricade in PvP. And never stand directly behind it Incase you are either rushed or someone throws an AoE grenade. Also be careful of someone jumping over it if they can or a flank.

Striker with pulse grenades. Seismic slam is good for dodging and finishing an weak unshielded enemy. Don’t charge in, you’ll work up to that. Autorifles are amazing. Scathlocke in particular. Dunemarchers help with run speed, War Rig for reloading your auto. Helmets...meh that veiled one isn’t bad, Skullfort is amazing if you can use Seismic right to finish people off. Oh and full sized barricade. You might the half wall is better for the reload but it isn’t. Good luck Titan!

Spam shoulder charge like everyone else

I’ve got a Titan and I can’t play it. I have two hunters, Titan just feels so slow and bulky. If I could be bothered I’d make a third hunter. Try synthaceps, you’ll never feel the need to use anything else, they’re so broken.

5 RepliesStriker > code of the earthshaker > pulse grenades are your friend
