A Collection Game in Which You CANNOT Collect Everything...
This just sums up how inept this franchise has become. I only run two characters and there isn't enough vault space. You're going to increase vault space by 50? But you're also going to include more items at the same time, so we'll be right back to square one, right? How did no one think this through? By your own admission, Destiny is a collection game, but it's impossible to collect everything because you didn't give us the capacity to do so. This is idiotic. You know what you could have done? You've got weapons that are essentially duplicates in appearance but have different stat packages, like last hope/last dance and atalanta/antiope. So you could have us choose from the stat packages as "configurations" on the same gun. There, I just solved your inventory problem off the top of my head. Can I have a job? Because clearly you don't have people there that can look at a problem and solve it with just a few minutes of thought. You have flooded us with a bunch of look-alike weapons to try to compensate for removing random rolls but can't give us enough space to hold them. It's asinine.

1 ReplyWow all the comments in this thread are out of touch. Collecting is actually a normal hobby people. Just because people want to collect in Destiny doesn’t mean they aren’t normal. I liked collecting things in D1 because I liked changing my load outs everyday despite there ever being a meta. Plus with constant balance changes and sandbox changes you never knew what was going to be made “good” again. The metas in D1 were just an illusion and a simple case of bandwagoning due to social media and the internet. People didn’t like using the Angel of Light perk but that didn’t mean others like me didn’t like to use it once in a while. People didn’t make the Thunderlord a meta but it was still a good weapon. Etc. Basically if I used everyone’s logic around here I should have dismantled my Gjallorhorn in D1 because I didn’t use it much right? It shouldn’t have collected dust in my vault right? Silly! Everyone else loved that gun but I never liked using it as much as everyone else did. I liked the Thunderlord and Corrective Measure.

If you create another character then you can have his inventory as storage too. I like you idea tho about combining same gun models into perk trees or something you choose

Are you the guy that never dismantles stuff, doesn't unlock their exotic ornaments from Eververse in their mod section? keeps every ghost and sparrow possible? tons of ship transmits? - I collect ghosts and sparrows on their names and descriptions. - I keep 1 or 2 armor sets in my characters inventory. - I only store iron banner and faction rally items into my vault

2 RepliesYes, very frustrating. Currently at 199/200 and having to juggle stuff constantly. I'm going to end up having to delete armor sets or some of the faction/Iron Banner/Lost Prophecy weapons I've collected if they don't fix this soon. If I have to do that I'll probably stop playing, as collecting items has always been one of the primary drivers for me playing this game (and D1).

1 ReplyIt’s a collecting game not a hoarding game. Plus with static rolls there’s really no reason to collect weapons other than exotics because you can grab a new one any time.

7 RepliesAll armor are alike: no need for more than one set. Hand cannons: Better Devils, Annual Skate. Scout: Nameless Midnight., MIDA. Pulse: doesn’t matter. Sub machine gun: Antiope D. AR: Origin Story, Uriel’s Gift, Positive Outlook Power: Rockets, Colony. Everything else, infusion or materials. How can you need any vault space? Stop hoarding garbage...

OK, so you know how I said the 100th like would get a free BABYMETAL tshirt? Well now that we've passed 100 likes and no one got their tshirt I have to confess that I've been throttling likes. You see, after 25 likes the likes progressively diminish in value. That last like only had a value of 4% of a like. It will actually take 200 likes to receive the free BABYMETAL tshirt. I'm sorry. It was not intended to have this effect and I promise we are looking into this matter.

1 ReplyOnly time I get annoyed is the whole everpurse bit. I miss the shaders, ship, sparrow, and other kiosks from D1. If you get and exotic ship from everpurse, why isn't it unlocked like all other exotics? How hard would it to have been to put additional collection pages in the vault menu?

1 ReplyYeah, I brought up a similar point after Luke Smith officially designated Destiny 2 as a Collection game. The amount of Shaders in the game exceed the amount of space we have in our inventory and putting excess shaders into vault is moot since there is no vault space. The amount of mods types in the game exceed the amount of space we have in our inventory and putting excess mods into the vault is moot since we have no vault space. No kiosks for for Ships, Sparrows or Shaders like there were in Destiny 1.

Only thing I'd like to see is engram collections tab, not just for exotics, everything...and just cost a good amount of whatever resources.

1 ReplyBungie has no idea what they want this franchise to be. Destiny 1 was a loot and shoot game, destiny 2 is LITERALLY a mess. It's trying to be so much all at once. Loot and shoot, MMORPG, a free to play, no less, at this point. It has been said, Destiny 1 felt more like a beta...though despite that, it seems they learned nothing from it as D2 proves it.

My buddy and I were talking about that last night. I have all 3 of my guardians over 320. I keep all my exotics and ghosts for all 3. I try and keep all the weapons, or at least 3 of each, for each elemental. Lately I've been keeping armor to account for being primary mobile, resilient or to recover easier, or, have a mix of each. I've found that by doing that, you're right, there's not enough space. My buddy and I got pissed on Thursday night and just went ape-shit nuking everything in the vault and on our guardian we were using. Not everything, but enough to get over being pissed off about it. Not matter what some of you say, this is as much of a collection game as borderlands was, right or wrong, it is. It is a collection game in the same vein as The Division. We simply do not have enough space. Giving us 50 more slots is a slap in our face. Bungie can do better, they're just lazy.

You left out the part that we won't be getting the space until May. You know, after we've had Crimson Days, and at least three more Faction Rallies and Iron Banner.
