I do not regret buying the game because it taught me a few valuable lessons. It taught me not to trust in any video game before it has been released and reviewed by sources that are trustworthy ever again. It has taught me never to pre-order anything unless it comes with a money back guarantee if I do not enjoy it still prior to reaching 3 hours of gameplay ever again. I have been gaming since 1990 and have seen my fair share of the good and bad elements of what happens with video game publishers. That said I must state that in all of that time I have never felt more misled, lied to, or disappointed concerning a game that I have invested a large amount of time into. $60 for a game that has a story that only consists of a myriad of recycled video game plot elements and devices is not something that I regard as a worthwhile purchase. $60 for a game that I personally regard as having taken no less than 30 steps backwards in terms of various elements of its established style of gameplay is not something that I regard as a worthwhile purchase. $20 for a dlc that consists of a shallow campaign that I can beat in an hour and 20 minutes that not only provides little substance and innovation but entirely destroys the mythos surrounding one of the most intriguing characters in a games franchise is not something that I regard as a worthwhile purchase. I can not yet comment on the upcoming dlc aside from stating that I am not excited to play it and that I am confident that the $20 I spent on it could have been better utilized on buying a 36 pack of Bud-Light and I hate that beer. I will not be purchasing any further expansions for this game nor shall I be purchasing any of its sequels nor any other game released by Bungie for that matter as my confidence in them has become non existent.
