Destiny 1 player here.
I picked up the game almost two weeks ago, and, so far, I've been having a blast. I haven't played a game this heavily in years. Meeting up with people, making friends, and just sitting back, and enjoying the game. I enjoy Crucible play more than I'd have expected, and have found it's typically all I play, now.
Is it perfect? No. In particular, the spawn system in the Crucible comes to mind. Does that mean you can't enjoy it? Also, no. There's enough content, and action to keep me interested for a while. The new updates are promising as well.
People can complain, until the end of days, but it doesn't accomplish much. Offering useful feedback is a better option, and, it's more satisfying that getting upset over a video game, in the first place. An atmosphere of toxicity and negativity benefits no one.

1 ReplyYou must not be a die hard Destiny player if you picked up D2 a couple weeks ago.... If u are a casual u prob like it...
-
2 RepliesD2 is fine. It’s not great, definitely not terrible; I’ve played tons of games worse than this. Some things were good, some weren’t. I can safely say I had a good time while it lasted, but it’s time to move on. Thanks for the memories, Bungus.

1 ReplyHey I liked it for 2 weeks too. But that was it.
-
Reasons you like d2:
you have a total of 2 hours on d1

you sucked at d1

d1 is the first game you've ever played

d1 is the second game you've ever played

you started playing d1 in year 3

you have bad taste in games

you're a sheep

you're 6 year old

you're 10 years old

you're 14 years old

you're 50 years old

you're 70 years old

you're too broke to buy quality games
It's definitely one or a combination of these things.

1 Replyd2 is good in its own way, but 1. too much money grubbing ([look at road map of the game]). i know game need money to run, but it is too much for a paid game. this is not free to play with micro transaction. 2. D3 is in development . so investment playing of d2 is wasting time. 3. bungie suck at fixing things, raid etc (cannot even fix coil ammo glitch, raid respawn bug). not a good future development.

Good on you... Keep enjoying it.
Stay off the forums or the toxicity will get you too!
Probably not alone. I sure wonder how you could enjoy it. Meh.
-
Yes, you are alone
-
I would be a hypocrite to say that I didn’t like it because of the amount of time that I’ve played, but there is opportunities galore to improve this game.
-
Probably
-
Casual opinion but no you are not alone. ( im not included in the hope department )
-
No, you are not alone. I was mildly amused by this game for a few weeks. Then spent the next 3 searching for redeeming qualities to it's pitiful endgame content. This isn't like Destiny 1, where you can find things to play for that will last a long time. Nope, this is a casual friendly game with a every short shelf life. That's why the player base collapsed like deck of wet cards within a few months.

It's just okay. Personally I wouldn't have bothered if I knew the game would turn out the way it has. Going into it's 4th year it still a beta. The closest the game came to being total awesomeness was the Taken King. The big thing they keep doing is leaving old content behind, and items behind. This game could have been huge if they simply progressed the game and kept all content and items relevant. It's always one step forward 2 steps back. With d2, its like they took 2 steps back, and then 2 more steps back.

Of all the things and issues with the game you mention the spawning in crucible? Really? Well I hope you'll continue liking the game, at least someone will get value for his money.

2 RepliesEdited by Shadowdragon: 2/5/2018 7:17:10 PMDestiny has failed and for good reasons! 1. PvP balancing. All this PvP balancing is ruining the game! Removal of random rolls, slower grenades, melee, and super recharge, removal of machine guns and replaces with submachine guns, moving shotguns, fusions, and snipers from second slot to the 3rd...ALL THIS is hurting PvE which is the CORE game! Having majors (yellow bar enemies) dropping heavy ammo does not, and will not, fix this debacle. 2. Eververse. Giving the Eververse more attention than the game itself is pure evidence of greed! Having most endgame rewards locked behind bright engrams is not how a game should be enjoyed. Now, I know most people say "Just play the game" or "It's just cosmetics" and I have an answer to both...Destiny 1! You played the game and was able to earn what bright engrams gave AND they were cosmetics. Look how the game did so much better than D2. Don't you dare tell me D1 vanilla was worse than D2 vanilla because D1 did not tank this hard. The only thing that D2 has over D1 was a more solid story and that's it! These two reasons are what I can think off the top of my head but I'm sure more will come as time progresses. There is the matter of throttling and paywalling, these reasons would fall under Eververse as the whole reason is to attempt to persuade people into MTX or buying the DLC.

Yeah brah just you and Smith's two nieces.

No, you are not alone. But it's hard to find someone who shares this feeling in these forums.

Edited by Seraph: 2/5/2018 8:21:37 PM
Destiny 1 player here. I picked up the game almost two weeks ago
Well that explains a lot. In its current state, you should be able to get 2, maybe 3 months out of Destiny 2 before fatigue sets in. Truth be told, Destiny 2 isn’t a bad game, it just doesn’t have 1/4 of the re-playability of its predecessor, which is why it’s currently getting so much crap from the no lifers/hobbiest gamers who wanted a game that they could play non stop forever and ever.

3 RepliesHonestly seems more likely that the ppl who do enjoy it never played d1, or never beat any of the content in d1, because if they did, they would know d2 is a empty shell of what d1 was.
-
Youre still riding that new game high. I was the same when i first picked this up. Thought this was a good game for a few weeks but it doesnt last long. Your enjoyment will start to diminish until you realize youve waste time and money on this game
-
Wait until week 4. Then see how you feel about it.

5 RepliesYou are alone, game is meh, like a dumbass I pre-ordered game and pass That will never be repeated

1 ReplyEdited by Synge_X: 2/5/2018 9:00:32 PMI love this game. I play every day. I run a clan of 72 players, all of which I make time to help and play with in Raids, StrIkes, and PVP. I have hope for the future of this game and look forward to the improvements coming. I accept the game for what it is, not what I wish it could be(I imagine bigger worlds, world PVP, air to ground vehicle combat, massive battles etc). I enjoy the challenge of a more competitive crucible and will continue to play 4v4 when 6v6 makes a comeback. I like the feeling of progression happening with the masterworks guns and armor as opposed to continual nerfs, power drain, and seasonal Meta shifts. It’s not necessary for me to “touch base” with this community on complaints as to qualify my position. The vitriol, hate, and dissatisfaction is expressed extensively enough here on bnet. Instead I’m stating, on record that I enjoy Destiny 2 and I’m not ashamed. Do I see problems with the game? Absolutely! But after surviving a natural disaster and losing everything, I’m in a place where I make an effort to not dwell on negativity. Especially if I plan on continuing to play the game.

3 RepliesDepends, are you 12?
