I found this exchange more infuriating:
RailMango:
How you gonna say "don't be jerks" while Bungie gave the biggest fûck you to the fans with the release of a sequel that's a HUGE downgrade?
Luke Smith:
because basic human decency is never too much to ask
He doesn't fight, at all, that D2 was an insult to fans. He didn't put up any resistance to that statement, at all. Just said that people should still act decent. I get that twitter is a limited medium for discussion, but that doesn't stop people from using it to argue or fight. He made no effort to defend his product against that statement. Just told the guy we should all be nice anyway.

What exactly would you say if he did put up any resistance? I guess it would be something like: "How can he possibly defend this? How ignorant can you be? Does he really think this game is in a good state?"
-
He can't win. His best bet is to ignore the bait. But I'd rather see him defend or deflect. Not whine about "decency." He could have said, "Maybe D2 isn't for you and that's okay. Lots of great games out there." He still would have taken shit but he wouldn't have sounded defeated or whiny.

Today I learned - saying that it’s good to be decent means you’re whiny. Got it :D

Yes, sir! :D

Edited by Snow: 2/3/2018 9:33:30 AMBasic human decency went out the door when this game was developed with false hopes and ideas, predatory microtransactions, and the exact opposite of what most fans wanted. The man who swindled you out of your money, even blocking refunds for the game, is preaching about human decency. Top kek.

Yeah so u can rip people off by not managing expectation and creating a dumpster fire of a game, which is universally panned, but you expect people to be nice LOL What a snowflake he is.
-
Because Luke has no morals. He expects that since we all loved D1 by the end of its life, that we consumers should just accept D2 for what it is
-
Excellent point.

I Thought I was the only one who saw that. Sounds like the reply of a beaten man. 😂😂
