Luke Smith “Dont be jerks.”

Then see the fans backlash because I -blam!-ed up the game. Then put someone else in charge because I dont know how to make games. Then rinse and repeat for Destiny 3 (he refers to the “Destiny 2 Team” as a separate entity). Luke what TF were you thinking. After the whole “throw money at the screen” fiasco youd think that you would be smarter but nope. Hey Luke, how about you dont be a jerk and run a beloved franchise into the ground before it even took off and moreso how about not lie and overhype your game before launch knowing it will [b][u]NEVER[/u][/b] live up. Jerk. Edit- To those defending Luke, yes the community can be jerks. The issue lies in the fact that Luke Smith is saying it. This is the “Throw money at the screen” guy and it pisses me off how arrogant he comes off. If he didnt screw the game up in the first place there wouldnt be an issue. Edit #2- As far as I can tell nobody is “offended.” Most including myself are pissed that the head of the D2 team, arguably the one that ruined the game, is telling [u]US[/u] not to be mean to him. Again, if you dont want us to call you out on the constant bullshit then dont spew any bullshit! Edit #3- 850 replies.. Not bad lol. Anyway, most of you understand why Luke is in the wrong here. Again, nobody’s feelings are hurt, were just pretty upset that Luke would call his fanbase a bunch of jerks lol. Wonder where that apology tweet from chris is... Edit #4- ITS OVER 1000... replies... Didnt expect this thread to take off but “Luke Smith” and “Jerk” was in the title so I should have expected this. Im reading all the replies and im seeing about a 60/40 spread against/for Luke. I want it to be clear I dont know Luke, he could be a super nice guy. But man does he come off as a narcissistic, hypocritical, ass. Anyway guardians, we hear you, keep the feedback comin.

  • Honestly, I’m happy he’s a real human being that has the guts to speak candidly. -blam- the corporate model of “the customer is always right.” It’s a disgusting standard that perpetuates attitudes like the one presented here. With all the smack talked on the forums, you’re the ones offended when someone says “hey, could you chill with the death threats and name calling?” Exercise a little empathy. Anyone who’s ever worked in customer service should be able to relate to wanting to tell a customer not to be a jerk, at the VERY least.
