Haven't you ever thought "Hey, this weapon actually have good perks, and it's pretty smooth and accurate as well! If only I could upgrade it and turn it into a masterwork weapon." Or "This armor looks really cool and unique! If only I could make it useful for everyday activities." I'm not really sure where I'm going with this, but...
