Whats with the stupid piece of metal on the magnum?
Its useless, stupid, and makes the magnum an ugly block. Not only does the piece of metal get in the way of the magnums actual sights and make it look bigger than it should they added the scope attachment on the bottom of the gun to double the actual size of the barrel. The magnum is my favorite weapon and they may have fixed its usage but they made it look -blam!-.

[/quote] Go look at pictures from Halo: CE it looks almost exactly the same except for the bottom part, they changed the look in Halo2 I don't know why, and it looks the same in Halo3.

[/quote] Because the magnum was connected to your HUD which would creat a magnification zoom similiar to a normal scope.

The magnum looks exactly the same as always (excluding the Halo 2 pistol which was crap) but It's always had the bumps in the front, it makes it look unique.

Does it really matter what it looks like? It looks good as it is, if it were like the size of a rocket launcher i would complain but i don't see whats wrong with it. Also what part are you talking about the part above the trigger?

They put it there because that is supposed to be the targeting laser that gives you your HUD crosshairs. If you want iron sights go play mw2 and quitcherbellyachin.
