When applying the Masterwork upgrade to a Legendary, the stat package is rolled randomly. 2. All Raid Masterworks must be earned from raid drops and can’t be obtained from Engrams or vendors in the Tower. 3. • I noticed the Osiris DLC symbol on the three new weapons offered by Saladin. I understand that Iron Banner does not require this DLC to participate but do we need it to pick up these weapons?

Good start but the ultimate raid reward shouldn’t be a ghost shel for gods sake !! It’s needs to be some kick ass weapon like the vex , or outcast prime ??? That’s what will get people back playing I couldn’t give a monkeys about a ghost shell but give me vex 2 , that incinerates enemies and I bet most of my clan would play the raid over and over . It’s one of the reason people played vault of glass was the amazing weapons not ghosts shells !! But thanks anyway keep moving in this direction and you might pull it back !

    • Not fan boying but this is the best TWaB in Destiny history imo. Addressed a lot of things. Pointed out a potential bug in advance. Communicated a lot of information. Bungie please use this model for all future weeks. Really want this to become the game I wanted it to be. My faith was really dwindling but this was a nice surprise. Please let this be the snowball that starts the avalanche or content your community is desperately craving

    • Goodbye friendgame, hello endgame This is a big step thankyou bungie I like the way you described the shader problem. Masterworks dropping more in raids and raid perks are fantastic. I might reinstall your game sometime at a later point of time soon......we will see. As for eververse stuff dropping in the raid, interesting....will my friend inspecting me know i got it from the raid, or will dought be placed on whether i threw my wallet at the tv. Same with clan engrams, did the player play raid or just be in a clan that did raid? Do these rewards carry meaning or is it just ordinary. Also do raid gear from clan engrams come with the extra raid mod?Anyway just throwing that out there. This twab shows real positive change, keep up the good work bungie.

    • This was a good post full of communication on multiple fronts and areas of concern. The game still needs some big changes and off the wall ideas because as much as i liked D1, i dont want to just play D1.2 The game needs to take a big step forward in performance, encounters, and abilities. This TWAB is a good show of faith and communication and laying groundwork to build upon. This is a good start, but still be ambitious about what you want this game to be. D1 was great, but you should try to reach beyond that standard.

    • Update sounds good, but its a bunch of stuff that was in d1. What im thinking has been said in many ways. I wont repeat that. Good communication. Thats all I can say.

    • Makes a nice change to see things being done, my only concern and a question is as follows, will the none dlc owners have access to all the new items ? Eg iron banner ?

    • Holy crud! They actually talked about reverting to a similar D1 style for shaders. It only took 4 months

    • I'm actually relatively ok with this TWAB. Relative to the last few. I dare say I'm hesitantly optimistic even. The Last Samurai armor sets in Iron Banner, along with the weapon repaints are, still, nothing to be excited about. However, the tweaks to how the event is going to function sound promising; so does pretty much every other topic discussed in the TWAB.... Everything but the shaders. You say, almost in the same breath, its hard to figure out a way to do this...I mean, unless you do it this way (L2+X), but that's not what you want....That..that's EXACTLY what we want. I'm still scratching my head about that. Other than that though I'm good with this news.

    • I still don’t understand why it takes glimmer to apply a shader. Please just go back to D1 shader mechanics. I also don’t understand why a game that has such beautiful environments can have such boring weapon and armor reskins. Most of the D2 ships are not designed all that great either. Such wasted potential in this game. I truly wish I looked forward to playing D2 every day like I did D1, but the truth is that there are so many more games scratching the itch now. D1 sold a lot of D2 games, but developers need to understand that it should be the current version that sells itself. Really disappointed in how Bungie directed D2 and how they’ve handled themselves the last few months. I’ve lost a lot of respect for them. Maybe they’ll earn it back with D3, but I think D2 is lost unfortunately.

Well, this definitly is a step forward but i don't think shaders should be a priority over vault space! Imo vault space should be a first priority, after that you can adress the shader isseus. Rework the vault, giving us more space and give tabs forall the different items like waepon tipes, armor types, ships, gosts, sparrows and such. How the vault is right now it is an utter mess and it is to small to house everything you collect and want to keep so comeon #BUNGIE,this should be your first priority! To conclude my post i have a little request @dmg04: To keep the worlds more lively besides public events and lost sectors, could we get some new and exciting adventures on a regular bases? Now when you have completed them they are gone, would be nice if there were new ones implemented each week with the update/maitenance to keep the pve players a bit more engaged and interested storywise. Just my two cents about keeping things interesting and fresh.

          You want feedback? Gladly.
Shader Sit-down Since the launch of Destiny 2, we’ve gathered a lot of feedback on the new shader system. As time went on, and the shaders began to pile up, players lamented the cumbersome process of trying to delete each shader one by one. You’ve been asking us why we can’t just allow you to dismantle entire stacks of shaders. I mean, there are other consumables that can be dismantled en masse. It’s a totally reasonable question and we wanted to let you know the facts. We’re not making excuses or claiming this problem is too hard to solve. We just want to be transparent about what the problem is, and how we are going to go about solving it. Here is Senior Design Lead Tyson Green to shed some light on shaders. Tyson Green: Shaders are individual items, and individual items trigger individual reward bundles when dismantled, even when those rewards are simple. That creates a challenge for us that we haven’t yet addressed, which is triggering dozens (or hundreds) of reward bundles simultaneously when an entire stack of shaders is dismantled. This is challenging not simply because an arbitrary number of rewards need to be run and delivered simultaneously, but because we also have to safeguard against scenarios where this produced items that couldn’t fit in your inventory, which could be instantly lost (ex: shaders that produce Glimmer could easily evaporate into nothing if you were at or near the cap.) It would be relatively easy to find another button on the controller (L2 + X?) and let players actually delete a full stack, but that isn’t the spirit of what players are asking for, so we’re looking at a stronger solve. In addition, we’re also looking at how to address other shader feedback: It should be easier to get rid of a stack of shaders. We are looking at mass exchange solutions. We know you miss D1 Armor Shader mechanics. Looking at ways to re-integrate that capability without losing the ability to shade weapons, Ghosts, ships, Sparrows, or customize specific pieces of armor. We also understand you want shaders to be more freely usable and not limited by availability. We’re looking at re-introducing shader collections or a way to get copies of a shader in your possession. This work is ongoing, and we’ll go on record as to when the solution will land as we get closer to a fix that we test and certify. For now, it was important to us that you know it’s on our workbench.
See this Bungie? This right up here? ^^^^^ THIS is the type of communication I have been pushing you to give us. I will give you harsh critique for every, single, stupid decision you make, but I will also be one of the first to sing your praises when you do something right. And, this right here, this is right. Finally I get some idea why it is taking forever to address an issue like mass shader deletion and it was by far the most interesting part of this week's TWAB. I congratulate you, Bungie, cause it was just yesterday I was trash talking the perspectives of your TWAB today. You made me eat my words, and I have never been so happy to have eaten my own words. Don't think I'm not still incredibly disappointed in you and my trust in you is still at an all time low, but you did something right and I have to give you credit for it.

        • It would be nice if we could by trials gear with tokens, (you know... like with every other vendor) or atleast be able to pick between an armor or weapon engram. As a solo player, it's frustrating to have to get LFG teams who can barely get 2 wins to farm the 20 tokens needed.

        • Thank you for the good update, we appreciate hearing from Bungie and the future. I had an idea about shaders, most folks I talk too liked the D1 shader system that let you keep a shader forever once unlocked, but people also like being able to apply different shaders to individual gear and its important to chase and grind for things so heres the idea: We still chase shaders that drop from random areas, or specific bosses, strikes and the raid but its unlocked for each Primary, secondary, Head to Toe item slot separately when you pick it up and stays unlocked and can be applied to different gear. However it would be unlocked for each piece of gear. So if you want a Calus Shader for the entire character you may have to run the raid a few times since it would randomly drop Calus shader Boots, or Calus shader Helmet unlocked. This way it would still encourage grinding and unlocking neat color combos and players would have a way to chase things. They could see a color and see where it drops (unlocks) from a Kiosk and chase that. If you saw someone at the tower that was fully colored (think chatterwhite in D1) you would know they have run the raid tons of times. Just a thought. Thanks and keep up the good work

          • Nice job with the communication. I didn't read the whole update, but the bad PVP meta I doubt people will come back to play this IB or will play more than a couple of matches. 2 coins for losing a match is bad for 10+ minutes. Previous IB's I would win most matches when in a group and lose almost every match when solo. Since most people have abandoned the game, I would most likely be solo so that not good. Normally I might also do the daily bonus IB challenge. With the bad meta it takes too long to do most of the challenges depending on the challenge and the class you are playing. Thanks for listening.

          • I have to say this brings hope back. The raid will be a bit more fun now to get the ghost. The masterwork armor is nice but it could use a bit more than just changing it to mobility, recovery, or resilience with a super damage reduction. Maybe you guys can add a mod effect with the masterwork like kinetic stability or something along those lines. An extra mod with the original mod slot wouldn't be game breaking and would make masterworking a bit better them make the endgame armor like raid and trials have something extra. Also the fact that your fixing the lens and making it so that kills generate ammo to make it feel like an exotic is awesome. Plus the little extras you added in like the tower notification that postermaster is full is nice. This is a good start to a better destiny.

          • Masterworks are a good start, but it's not going to be enough. Random perk rolls really need to come back, the loot pool needs to be drastically expanded, and new perks in addition to old school perks should be added. Masterworks are only going to be a way to make good weapons better, but ultimately they won't bring back the uniqueness in loot that we had in D1, especially when you can just turn any legendary into a masterwork. The argument was made that random perk rolls would be "unbalanced"... so what? Make the game the way it was in D1. We want to see larger PvP maps, the ability to choose the PvP format and 6v6 matchmaking again, we want a faster time to kill over all, and supers that actually feel super, we want to be able to use a super more than once per match, and we want grenades and melee attacks to actually be deadly again, we want heavy machine guns to come back, and we want fusion rifles, shotguns, and snipers to return back to the secondary slot. It's REALLY not hard to see what most of us are really looking for. This update is nice and all, but unfortunately it's not going to be enough.
