why is there a competitive when sweaty teams only play quick play

i see no point in having a competitive playlist when no one plays in compeditive. half the lfg post i see are people asking for 1.5kd in quickplay. i dont see anything for compeditive scrap the two playlists. make them one. or at least get the clan teams away from the solo players its ruining pvp for us solo players man..     A solo only lobby would fix this completely. Like mercenary mode in Black Ops. But what would the sweaty teams do when they had no solo players to roll? They would get queued against other sweaty groups and realize how trash they are without an advantage.

    The ONLY reason I play crucible is for the milestone because, I'm gonna be honest, I suck. I'm a bullet magnet, I can't seem to get out of the way fast enough, and there's no point of me even attempting trials. I am 335, but my k/d is probably hovering around a 1.0 if I'm lucky! So, when I play quick play (or even competitive for that matter) I find it EXTREMELY discouraging when I get monkeystomped through what I can only call pure torture that is crucible. As a side note, I have the same problem with raids, which is why I rarely raid. My 2 strange coins.

  • Honestly its because Quickplay is actually easier to control the game in than Competitive. I'm not really a hardcore PvPer type, I prefer strikes/raid over crucible/trials, but that being said I solo queue for Competitive over Quickplay every single time. The gametypes in Competitive are just straight up better. In Quickplay the TDM gametype means whoever gets power weapon or control early can win the whole match and just suppress people in spawn. In Comp it just means you win that round... but the next round can go differently. So these groups you are talking about play Quickplay precisely because it means they can pull weight on a group of random disorganized players. casual players aren't as eager to dive into Competitive which means you've got a better chance of a decent game, and you know there aren't as many weak groups afraid of a real fight like you have in Quickplay. Though someone said something about people quitting too often in Comp and that is true as well... if you lose one round it doesn't mean the match is over but some people don't get that.

    Competitive isn't ranked so no one gives a -blam!-, same for TotN( -minus ranked and more of not giving af ). With those out of order competitive/TotN players will just shit all over quickplay, probably for shits and gigs. You'll still get shit on with one playlist, and why even consider making our choices even less? We need a bigger playlist, at the very least an addition of freelance to upcoming modes or your last idea.

Quickplay should be for people like me who are sat chilling, sipping beer, tooting the odd fart etc Imagine a football (soccer) scenario ; A group of seven random people join you for a kick about in a park, jumpers for goalposts etc. All just playing for fun, the odd bit of skill yes, but fun! After a match finishes, the teams disband and you get 3 teammates - hello! As the match begins, the fun does not. It quickly becomes apparent that a premiership team is your opponent and they're hell bent on the title. (What title you may ask? We're in the park) It's like harassment, bullying almost. And I'm not talking about Clans doing Milestones etc, I'm talking the proper sweaty bastards!

    • Because... 1. There's no motivation for playing competitive. Such as epic rewards for those who win (and nothing for those who lose, so there's risk). 2. There's no extra challenges, both modes are equally balanced, and the Quickplay modes are what players are used to. I once suggested that competitive PvP be restricted to static-rolled blue guns only, creating a pure skill-v-skill mode. Quickplay could allow purple and gold guns, which wouldn't have to be Cruci-balanced because QP wouldn't be about that; it would be about fun. All leaderboard scores would be restricted to competitive play: if you wanted to show everyone how good you were in PvP, you'd do it in fair competition with precisely balanced weapons. If you wanted to just cut loose, with no leaderboard rank possible, you do Quickplay.

          • The issue isn't too many playlists, it's the same old dead horse about not enough. The reason so many comp teams play quick is that the game modes suck in comp. At least as the ONLY comp options. We need a Competitive/Quickplay main list, then a game mode selection once in that sublist. Personally I think all game modes should be available in both lists.

              I’d suggest 8 playlists, where we don’t have to have our hands held to pick a god damn game type in crucible. I thought it was an introduction to D2 and would’ve been expanded on in the next month. Removing player choice is not a feature.

                • Part of the core problem isn't the players, but the game By that I mean competitive game types are slow paced while Quickplay has all the game types people [usually] prefer to play. If both offered the same suite of game types, that would help.
