The original destiny was supposed to have different storylines depending on what race you picked. From what I recall: The most familiar one used most of the Exo storyline, involved meeting the stranger, going to the reef to get their help and killing a vex godthing. The human one involved starting on earth and making your way to the last city, much like Amanda holiday’s backstory. And the awoken one involved being exiled from the reef.
