Black screen after choosing character?
Just got on and after picking a character, screen stays black. Audio is playing properly and menu navigation seems to be working, but I can't see anything.

If on Pc go to xbox network and see your nat type if says toredo unable to identify click fix it and then click check again

I cannot log in past character screen, all I get is black. I’ve tried everything and nothing works. It’s no longer a PSN issue, everything else works except destiny 2. Please fix this bungie!

I have had this problem for 3 days now on my Xbox one and I still get nothing but a black screen and error code watercress. Anything I should do to try and fix this?

I too had a black screen after charter selection. It stayed for 50 seconds.

1 ReplyNothing seems to work for me. Just curious — are any of you running off a solid state hard drive? Because that was causing a similar issue with TitanFall2 before the ps4 update fixed it. Might be related.

What fixed it for me this morning: Sign out of your PSN account Logout of your profile on PS4 At profile select screen, press Options Select Sign In with Status Online (not exact wording) Sign back in to your PSN account

1 ReplySame issue here, and it's NOT PSN. All my other games work perfectly, but Destiny 2 and the original game will not load beyond the character select screen.

Here's the method that worked for me: 1) Log out of the PSN network on your Playstation and power down. 2) Have someone log into your PSN on their Playstation. 3) Have them navigate to your profile and toggle off then on the "appear online status". 4) Power on your Playstation and login. Load Destiny and enjoy seeing your ship for the first time in three days. It may not be necessary to power off the Playstation but it's probably best to do it anyway. -Cheers

I'm having the same problem with my husband's account. I can log into Destiny with my gamer tag and play and everything is fine on the same console, but when I try to log him in after I choose his character it goes black with music and then after a few minutes it gives him a connection error flag.

Same thing. 3 days in a row. Login. Black screen after character select. Other games work fine. I have an expensive subscription to this black screen. This game has been very disappointing.
