We all know the biggest problem with Dark Souls was the frame rate, especially in Blight Town.
Now it will be 60fps on XBOX ONE X and the weapon degradation will not be affected by an increased frame rate like it was on my PC version.
Now on the nintendo scratch it's 30fps which means Blight Town will probably drop to 12fps again. Do yourself a favour and buy a proper version of the Dark Souls ReMasterpiece for XBOX ONE X.

4 RepliesYes folks, rebuy a game a lot of you already own. Just hand over your money for the exact same game in a shiny new coat, it's all going to be alright, just pay. Hey, PC gamers, remember when Skyrim remastered came out and Bethesda handed it out for free to those that already owned it and the DLC? Not here, pay your money for the game you already own and can still play.

13 RepliesI'm buying it for both systems. Don't like it, do something other than hide behind a screen and compensate. Come on, I will wait.

1 ReplyThe Switch is a good console, get over it.

So I guess you're a weeb now, Dark Souls is made by a Japanese company.

Native 4k with all textures and 60 fps on PC. You don't even play dark souls. It's a Japanese game. Are you a weeb now?

3 RepliesHow about nobody buy it in general and let this series die finally? It's freaking creator doesn't want it to continue, too.

26 RepliesYeah, but if I do buy it for the Switch I can finally beat Dark Souls with one hand literally tied behind my back; courtesy of the Joy Cons.

12 RepliesI can understand wanting the higher frame rate, i mean that is all fine and good if that is what you want. However some people may prefer portability which only the switch can provide, so like it or not buying on the switch may actually be better for some people. There is also the issue that you suddenly assume that it will for some reason drop in frame rate. You have to remember that dark souls one is a fairly old game, and when compared to games like breath of the wild, dark souls is not nearly as power intensive. Which by the way breath of the wild runs as a very consistent frame rate. 30fps really isnt bad at all, so long as it remains a consistent 30. Which if i was to hazard a guess, i would say the reason it is 30fps is because they want to ensure that it is consistent no matter what, throughout the entire game, in both handheld and docked modes. Obviously the switch is a less powerful system than either the xbox one or PS4, however i am fairly confident that it will at the very least run dark souls at 30fps consistently, and if you want to be playing it mobile, is not half bad.
