Anthem will NOT kill Destiny 2, guardians
Because Bungie has already murdered Destiny 2 a year before Anthem release.

2 RepliesThe only thing that can hurt Anthem’s success at this point is if it’s micro transactions are integral to the endgame instead of being merely cosmetic. Hopefully Battlefront II gave them an important lesson, don’t get greedy. Make cosmetic stuff only and if the game is as awesome as you showed at E3, people will be more than happy to support the developers through that model.

Ace Combat 7 probably will incinerate its corpse by that logic then. Hopefully no loot boxes or microtransactions like infinity had. That combined with a lengthy, well done storyline like 5 had could be a godsend.

This is so true. Last summer, I was worried about Anthem releasing at the same time as the next major Destiny DLC. Now I can't see how I could continue on with Destiny 2 regardless of when Anthem releases. Destiny 2 needs major, fundamental changes, and I don't see how Bungie can do that if they can never admit when they are wrong.

6 RepliesWell if they manage to get D2 to a decent state, I'll play both. D2 isn't terrible. But it's not great either. But if you couldn't see D2 falling flat as it has from a mile away then I feel bad for you, son. So many problems and the info drops and beta spelled out nearly every single one.

I do not worry about it having a crap story, shallow, lifeless worlds with a few enemies sprinkled in, and gutted systems that only offer 2 game modes or boring repeated quests. The BioWare A team has proven to have that all figured out. I just really hope it has the same level of mechanics that Destiny has. There's nothing worse than an awesome game that feels clunky to play (like a game you really want to play but can't get into because of controls and feel)

31 RepliesDifference between Anthem and D2 is we know D2 is crap. Anthem has high potential and is being done by the Bioware A team who I actually trust. As for loot boxes lead developers and marketers have already been knocking down all the rumors about this and s9 far have been pretty open about these kinds of things. Of course the proof is in the product so we will we in the future but so far I like what I see.
