Could have done without the condescension. Yes, we know money is important, but some of us were/are successful because we take pride in our product/service and the way it impacts our clients/customers. If one takes that under consideration, the money follows. Experienced business owners and companies know this.

  • I'm not sure how this furthers the discussion, or helps the community in any way. Unless you're, just one of *those* who don't contribute, and would rather throw peanuts. Then, all would be forgiven.

I’m a member of this community that likes Destiny 2. While it is not perfect I feel that they’ve taken steps forward and after the last three years I know that things will get changed for the better. As far as I’ve seen 90-95% of the people posting negatively on this forum feel like this game needs to revert to Destiny, it doesn’t. They need to build off of what Destiny 2 is for it to become better, not change things back to Destiny just to make the bad consumers happy. Destiny was a fun game but there were many faults over those three years. Destiny 2 took many community complaints into consideration when they created 2, some of that input was good, a lot of it was negative and shouldn’t have been listened to. Bungie went beyond what most people requested, both with the good and bad. I know that I’m part of the “minority” in my appreciation for what they delivered and I don’t care. I like what I like, if I didn’t I’d sell it and move on with my life. I wouldn’t hang about complaining.

  • I appreciate that thoughtful response. Without expanding too much, I'm not fond of the complaints, but there is a TON of constructive criticism buried in Bungie's own forum. Criticism without correction, and corrections on items that don't need correction, causes frustration, which spawns endless complaints that you and I are witnessing. Money and stats are all that new Bungie seems to respond to. It use to NOT be that way, and other modern companies still care about their product (as a source of revenue). See Warframe as an example of a product that the developer cares about gameplay first, hoping money follows. See Division as an example of a product in which the developer took a REALLY long time to fix, but the developer realized that if they want to sell a sequel, they need to resolve these issues. This would result in more sales = more revenue. I can almost bet that the next iteration won't introduce the same issues, and go backwards like D2 has with D1. I can't process decisions relating to the design of D2. Just way too much that went wrong, in my opinion, that would have been solved if they just played their own game.

  • From the perspective a mostly solo player for 3 years I love a lot of the changes to the game. The loot system works pretty well but it’s unfortunate that the infusion is locked between kinetic/burns. I actually like the token system but I’d like to see it more inline w/ the Y3 OS and tokens as they’re used now. Tbh the mod system is terribly bland and boring, I’m glad those changes are coming I just hope they actually contain relevant PvP/PvE based mods that are worthwhile and actually replace the desire for “random rolls”. The raid loot system is pretty crappy. It needs to be flipped on its head. Drops should come from encounters and chests while cosmetics like the ships/shaders/ornaments/Ghost shells should be sold by Ben on a rank system similar to the Vanguard/Crucible. PvP is honestly much more fun than it was before. I’m not great at it, never will I claim to be but it is much more fun than the ability/special spam chaos that was 3 years of Destiny, which this community complained about constantly. I don’t really miss the random rolls, I didn’t like when awesome perks were replaced with shit or other perks were downgraded because of PvP whiners. There should’ve been a line of separation w/ PvP/PvE from the start but Bungie didn’t do that. Don’t know if they can’t or just don’t want to. If they were in the game now someone would start a bandwagon about ____perks not being fair. PvE could use a bump in power across the boards, we’re a tad bit weaker. Though I imagine the more powerful we become in PvE the more whining would occur in PvP...back to that line of separation there. There’s a few UI things that could be worked on. Transmat previews, bounties and stuff like that being visual on the destination tab when your cursor is over a icon would be nice. A better vault organization system and more space, especially for mods and shaders. During the Christmas Bandwagon I responded to numerous rants about the “cosmetic” problem that folks seemed to think there was and I just couldn’t fathom why folks weren’t asking for relevant game material to be added to the game. They were instead wanting that junk thrown into the regular loot pool. Guess they didn’t get enough Duck Horns for soloing NF or kicking ass somewhere else in the game. It’s a pity they didn’t , perhaps if they had they wouldn’t want that cosmetic junk added back into the loot table like that. Overall this game has some high notes and some low and very low notes but as far as I’m concerned it’s not a deal breaker nor a reason to get upset. I made the decision to buy this game. No one forced me. I played the beta like most did. I spoke to people who played both console and pc beta and that helped me make my decision. I don’t regret it. If the last three years have taught me anything it’s that Bungie is a little slow at getting their shit together but damn when they do get it on point you want to throw money at the screen. I have faith in this game and those folks on the west coast. Now if they’d only make a voice changer for the ghost so I can play the game w/o the sound turned off I’d be a happy guy.
