I just don’t get it.
Its a 1v1. Me versus you. There’s no one else around. We are both full health. Let’s duel.
So many guardians literally run away before we even get to engage each other. Its not like we engaged and I brought them down to no shields, and they run away. They literally run away before we even see each other!
Why do you do this? Are you afraid to ruin your KA/D? Do you need to hold your teammates hand? Is your momma waiting for you?

because they know you're gonna roofie(?) them.

Edited by Darth Lunchbox: 1/25/2018 9:35:18 PMCause your teammate is behind you also shooting at me. At least that's what I see a lot of the time. When no teammate is around I stay until either you or I die.

2 RepliesEdited by Stari: 1/25/2018 3:32:46 PMBecause the enemy's bullets always seem to do more damage, then mine. Even when i start shooting much earlier on my screen.

4 RepliesProblem is even when they make a mistake and you catch them out in the open the slow ttk allows them to get away. It’s pathetic. There’s also far to much crouch walking going on. Not just the bad players, the good teams are at it as well. I don’t know which idiot decided you’d disappear from radar when crouched.

cus the gamed is built for team shotting
-
Maps are so small, it's never 1v1. There's always someone else just right behind you, whether you pay attention or not.

Because I stopped playing crucible

Because teamshooting is the meta.

Uh, I honestly don't remember seeing that a lot. Mostly, it was me running away if I felt I didn't have an advantage. I was always looking for another player to use as a bullet shield. That's far cry from how I played in D1, where I actually cared about winning a match and helping other players.

Edited by Pahanin: 1/24/2018 9:07:59 AMSo I voted for the second option, not as a personal vote, more to answer the question, every time I shoot at someone they need their BF to hold each other’s dick to play the game, it actually gets me so worked up, I don’t even play PvP any more, it’s horrendous, they just need to delete PvP from the game, Destiny PvP is an afterthought, not like it belongs in the game anyway... Here’s a quote of mine to help you understand what I mean:
Destiny PvP is like breast implants, they’re nice and all but are they really necessary?? No, not even slightly. They’re far too cumbersome to work around and if there’s any flaws it’s difficult to fix without leaving permanent damage, the attentions nice but after living with then you realise it’s better to cut them off than continually upset your bodies balance and continue to make everything work around them as they never belonged in the first place, if they did theyed of already been there.
There are many reasons one being your team is right behind you and your all alone...i always think it 1vs1 but 90% of the time its 1vs2+ im always alone
-
2 RepliesPeople anticipate that they're not going to be able to finish you off before one of your friends comes in. It's a teamshot meta -- 1v1s literally cannot exist.
-
2 Repliesif you understand the current strategy, you will understand why so many run. You are far better off with a team than you are solo. engage in a 1v1 and you may get flanked and killed, strength in numbers. I'm not saying I like it but, I certainly understand it.

Edited by evlwarhed: 1/25/2018 2:14:31 PMThe 1v1 is a seldom Occurance in the heavily participation ranks of this knockoff. I for one rush to try and get a 1v1( when I played). This was your best chance to find the 1 guardian on other side that treasures the old ways. The coding of the crackerjack gang wasn't to be exclusive in battles, but to be Inclusive so all can enjoy a team fight together, in " friendship" When u scream at the sky all the time, your not inclined to put your self in a situation alone, u need the safety of a fellow participant to help you in your quest for the gold participation trophy. The trophy is a meter to your excellence in avoiding any contact without friends. For those that actually like engagement, chance, superior play, head on over to the " real" Destiny. There U will find a competitive climate, with weapons and gear that actually do something.

8 RepliesEdited by A KOOL POP TART: 1/21/2018 1:05:30 PMBecause if there is one, there is likely another somewhere nearby. So its best to regroup with your squad and even out the playing field. That's how team shot simulator 2 works.

Only do this when the enemy team has a lot of momentum, which usually means winning the dual and coming out of my optic (thanks for the radar nerf, Bungie) given the absurd ttks will end in my death due to the amount of time it takes to re-orient after a fight in this game. It sucks to win a duel and get steamrolled by 3 choice #2s right after.

Because you need private matches to do this maybe?

Because that cereal is awful. I'm a toast man myself.

1 ReplyMy problem is that I don't run. Too often, I stay in fights that I can't win. The one guy has the drop on me, gets his/her shots in first, is using a superior weapon, etc. but I will stay there engaging them until I die. I may have the wrong gun for a particular situation equipped, and I still go at it. I'll be engaged with a single opponent, then their teammates show up, and I stay there (and get smoked). Sometimes I get my target, sometimes I die before I can take them down. Now, in that situation if I do down my opponent and there are opposing teammates showing up, I will attempt to take cover so that I can recover/reload and then re-engage (or get to a spot where I'm not so much at a disadvantage). And having said that, if I am trying to get to cover and 2 or more opponents give chase, be careful about following. I will make every attempt to drag them to my teammates to even the odds a bit. I am not very good at teamshooting in that I don't like to run in a cluster. I will work with my team, but I usually do it more as a flanking support or firing at a common target from a different position if possible. I just can't seem to master the dynamic of running around and shooting in a tight little group. Everyone on top of each other (at least, that is how it seems to always turn out for me). I get the concept of concentrated fire, but you usually won't find me doing it from "the mob". If the rest of the team is running around in a tight group, I will usually be trying to flank whatever it is that they are firing at either to divide the target's attention or to inflict damage/kills to the target. (And I never camp. I am way too impatient to sit still that long. I'd rather hunt on the move. I may try to hold an advantageous area for a time, but I am more of a shoot-n-scoot player).

Perhaps we saw your allies coming. No person who has ever played D2 will stand there and go Oh Look An Enemy Team Maybe I Will Win.

Edited by DeltaZulu77: 1/24/2018 10:10:51 AMBlueberries charging into bullets, fun times. I like how playing smart is looked down on. If someone gets the jump on me and cover is nearby, my interest will be surviving. Other times I’ll back up and try to do something weird like jump around to try and screw with them.

Edited by Impurity41: 1/24/2018 8:14:16 AMI can feel if I’m in a bad position before the fight starts. I’ll look, quickly check my options, then retreat or stay. I think people need to understand when to dip out and when to stay. Otherwise it’s just a pointless death. If I’m at a good position or at equal ground, I’m fighting. I only give my best when I play. It’s disrespectful not to. I play with my head, I don’t flex my muscles.
but I’m a Titan so I guess I do lol
