Lost Sectors are kind of a joke anyways but why the cooldown on chests.
I did them only to fullfill the ridiculous daily quest for the Faction ralies which requires grinding lost sectors to go and shoot some glowing boxes. I figured lets complete the secotor and get the additional tokens. Instead I complete 3 different Lost Sectors and get 3 tokens each but the fourth and fifth lost sector even though I cleared by killing everything the chest gives nothing also I did not do them quickly I did a few public events. I would understand preventing exploits but these were done properly, it is not my fault you made them an easy joke and are punishing me (wasting my time) by preventing even the meager loot which is a blue and a token in most cases.
Long story short: This games loot system is already irritating for so many reasons why would you make it more irritating.

Because that's how Bungie rolls. There was an issue with one (1) Lost Sector getting cheesed for Faction Tokens. Bungie's answer? To nerf every goddamn Lost Sector in the game, and Public Events along with it. Bungie's fix/update motto: "If there's a problem with one specific thing; Screw it. Everything gets nerfed into uselessness."

3 RepliesWhats a cooldwon?

8 RepliesBecause people cheesed it then complained about the faction engrams. As it always has been...a few community idiots ruin things for everyone. I’d be willing to bet a lot of the cheesers are on here complaining too. They’re making adjustments for the next event. Don’t know why folks are crying about it though. You get more tokens from PEs than the sectors anyway. Guess the community must reap what the scabs have sown for us.
-
9 RepliesThey did it because previously, people could literally get hundreds of tokens in an hour running the same handful of lost sectors over and over again. Loot Cave 2.0
-
Cuz a lot of us have no chill when it comes to farming
-
Because once again exploiters ruin it for the rest of us. Why? Because we ALL know Bungie can't make small fixes for small problems so they end up creating new ones by being too heavy handed.

This was very poorly designed. You would think for a game which promotes playing in a clan and promotes team work/team shooting that you would design faction rally lost sectors to act the same way. But no, they went the other way, you're punished when you destroy enemy supplies in a fireteam as the ones that didn't destroy don't get the milestone. Then you add this cool down on the chest box which is achieved when you actually complete the lost sector, which you would think is as per how the developers wanted the game to be played and you get penalised on top of that. Everything about the design is just so incoherent. It's like calling this a loot shooter and giving you very limited storage/collection options. Can someone just give some coherent direction to the game and make design decisions that actually supports that direction?

Per Reddit; "we couldn't fix the door, so we demolished the house" Essentially, they couldn't fix the chest exploit in a SINGLE lost sector in the EDZ, so they put a global lockout on EVERY lost sector in the game, even when faction rallies are inactive
-
Farming methods for faction tokens have already been found. This is what happens when Bungie attempts to dictate how we play instead of focusing on creating engaging content.
-
3 RepliesIt would of been a simple fix! You kill the boss in the lost sector you get a code when you open the chest it spits out rewards just like a strike chest then you would need another code to get shit spat on you. So there would be no running back and forth not rocket science bungie.
-
How to fix the exploit without messing up Lost Sectors. Take the faction tokens out.
-
1 ReplyPeople complain about lack of grind, so Bungo adds things like this as a short-term solution.
-
To make you play longer
-
Yeah Bungie sucks, and hates fun! Sorry it seemed to fit well here
-
Why are there cool downs in the first place? I’m not going to wait 8 minutes to do another one. I click on the psn button before I wait on bungie terms.
-
Duh! To stop people getting the same weapons they already have, too quickly. Or as it is more commonly known a 'Bungie Fix'
