Look this up. Looks like someone is jumping ship. Even there own people don't want anything to do with this.

10 RepliesBe real for a second. Did one of the current community managers at Bungie leave or is Bungie adding more staff to try and provide more communication to the community? We know that Activision’s CEO has cashed out. That’s real. What’s not real is that I haven’t seen anything except BS speculative posts from morons about what has/is/might be happening at Bungie.

How does one apply for this

3 RepliesEven more mistakes by Bungie
Bungie is looking for a Community Manager help our studio improve and develop our approach to our player base and be responsible for delivering on the day-to-day creation and publication of social content.
1) Added 1 too many spaces (between "Community and Manager") 2) Missing the word "to" (after "Community Manager" and before "help") Even more mistakes could be listed, all from within the very first sentence, and I'm sure you could find more throughout the rest of the article.

I'd honestly love to work as an assistant writer for Bungie. Sadly I live in the UK and cant move to Seattle but I'd love to put a few story ideas down on the drawing board.

1 ReplyAs much as a part of me would love that position I also realize that it would be thankless and of course your hands are tied in that you are not the one who would implement any changes or have your hands on the wheel. Interesting that they are in need of the position though.

2 Replieshere's a chance for someone in the community to step up, and help make this game better.

I saw someone say something that looked like a quote from the job description. Namely, "communicate ideas", to which I will say they need to understand people first. When people on here start getting heavy handed in the issues they start having they often all have different variations of the issue. They need to come on here and spur discussion to get to the root cause of the issue. That way when they do something it will cause little trouble and ideally none. Though there's no good chance of developers taking part in that, let alone forum goers here having any sort of sense of cooperation, solidarity, and patience.
Being an avid Destiny player, with knowledgeable and deep expertise in the franchise is a huge plus
Yeah, this would be a plus. You know, so when you do a live stream reveal you know exactly where the big tree is on Bannerfall and difference between weapon slots. Gamers typically take you more seriously if it's apparent that you know your game and actually play it.
-
I’d say they have a larger need to replace some positions at and maybe 1 and 2 levels below the C-level...
-
They need to hire someone who can interpret player feedback correctly and pass it up the line. How can a community manager that doesn’t play the game know what is good feedback compared to poor feedback? The CM needs to like gaming AND know the difference in the quality of feedback they are trying to interpret. Then again who knows if the leadership even cares what’s passed up the line. Their egos are too big to know what defeat looks like. Never Never Land.
