• Gaunter forsure- he is in all actuality, the devil in the flesh. Traveling the earth bartering and acquiring souls... A lot of symbolism in meeting him at that cross roads at midnite under a full moon. One of the best characters in video game history imo.

  • Odimm undoubtedly. It’s not ever even clear exactly what Odimm even is, but he is definitely the most powerful being Geralt has ever encountered. And he would destroy the Unseen Elder

You're forgetting exactly what O'Dimm is. Gaunter O'Dimm. By the way, did you catch him the background of Hearts of Stone? Hes watching your every move and you were probably oblivious to it. Not to mention he's one of the first characters you talk to in the game. Did you forget that he basically turns to mist right in front of you? He's the only antogonist in a game yo stick with me the way he did. He was so well written! Since finishing Hearts of Stone I feel like he could be anywhere, doing anything! Freezing time, knocking something over, just watching me... I absolutely want him to be referenced in Cyberpunk way more than I care for a reference to Ciri.

      • O'Dimm legit creeped me out. The way in which he casually wielded power showed just how powerful he really was. Interestingly enough. The first time I played Hearts of Stone, I sided with him. I felt like von Everick deserved his fate

        • Fun fact: O'Dimm is the one who cursed the Spotted Wight in the Blood and Wine expansion. -According to the diary found in her house, the man seated outside always had a coy smile, and while begging for food, also tried to sell her mirrors... sound familiar? -If you end up rescuing the woman and breaking the curse, you can hear Gaunter O'Dimm's theme playing in the background when discussing it with Barnabas-Basil in Corvo Bianco. -To initiate the curse, Beggar O'Dimm (lol) snapped his spoon in half. This also happened when Geralt started his contract with O'Dimm aboard the Ofieri ship. So yeah, the Devil gets around, even so far south as Toussaint.

          • The elder is essentially just a strong vampire. O’dimm can stop time, and is arguably a personification of a deity. Though, I guess since The elder is purely physical, and O’dimm is largely a trickster, it might be a little more fair, but at the same time I’m sure O’dimm has some stupid powerful magic up his sleeves. His initials aren’t G.O.D for nothing

            • All Gaunter needs is a spoon. Also, has anyone else noticed his initials spell God?

            • Dimm has one fatal flaw. He needs you to make a wish.

I found Detlaff more intimidating than either. O'Dimm was a better villain overall, I think. I always knew I wasn't going to fight him, though. He was powerful, but reliable, so long as I stayed on his good side. Detlaff, on the other hand, was a wild card. I didn't want to upset him, because he was clearly unstable, and very, very powerful.
I just realized that wasn't the question you asked at all... I never met the Unseen Elder, so I don't know.
• I knew from the moment I met that guy in the tavern that he was important, so I asked my Witcher fanboy friend if he ever shows up in the game again and he said no.
-blam!- him
