Too bad you guys -blam!-ed it up by adding a massive cooldown in an attempt to try and force people to play in ways they don't want to, because you made a lame, boring event people don't want to do.

Edited by KLGChaos: 1/16/2018 10:37:16 PMA lame, boring event that makes you... Play the rest of the game. You get tokens from PEs, Strikes, Crucible, etc. Faction Ralliea aren't meant to be lost section chest farming marathons.

You don't get nearly enough tokens fast enough doing anything BUT farming lost sectors pre-fix, however. There's already a huge issue where people don't feel invested in the content to play beyond doing their weekly milestones, giving out a paltry sum of tokens for a heroic strike or crucible match and locking down everything else isn't helping that in any way. Especially not when it's supposed to be a competitive event where we're supposed to earn as many tokens as we can. Yet they cap the actual rewards which further disinclines people from wanting to participate beyond hitting that cap asap. Bungie seems to have forgotten something very important about game design that they knew early on in the first game's development; you can't force people to play how you want them to. Players will always seek out the fastest, lowest effort means of completing a repetitive, boring task. It is the duty of a developer to incentivize these tasks and give players reasons to not do that. In the first game we had the loot cave and you know what worked better than just flat out denying people that? Making other means of getting loot more attractive to players. In this case we had another loot cave scenario, but rather than making any kind of effort to fix the issues that caused people to farm this loot cave, they just closed it off and told people to get -blam!-ed. This is an issue with the very base design of Destiny 2 and how they've been handling it. They have problems that go right into the core of the game and rather than actually fixing it, they just slap bandaids over the symptoms it causes.
