Why elites are so big in Halo Reach.
Okay so I was always wondering, why are elites just huge? I mean they have to be taller than 7ft, maybe even 8ft. But like in Halo 3, Master Chief is about 7 ft tall and the elites were the same height.
So I thought, hmm is it possible over just a couple of years they got 10 times smaller? Well then I looked at Halo Reach and Halo war's elites and someone gave me a link to look at the enemies, that's when I actually read the sangheli one and it looks like there were other types of sangheli, I don't know but it looks like it says, " sinewy and extremely tall saurians " maybe just different races of Elites.
As if the arbiter is like a sinewy and the extremely tall saurians are the elites in the game Halo Reach.
Not sure, but give me some ideas, I need to figure this out,

I want a see the storyline as something that pieces together.

cuz in halo 2 &3 they made them smaller and hunched over so they could be even in multiplayer but now they are different and its better cuz now you only play elites when you want too

S3s are shorter, and Elites in H3 are hunchbacked, so in actuality the Elites are taller than S2s.

They were scaled down in halo 2/ halo 3 to make the hitboxes the same as the spartans for matchmaking. In reach elites are no longer in normal matchmaking because your spartan is supposed to be your identification. Thus the elites get special treatment and are buffed up and taller. But thats the technical reason why. I like your idea better lol

I don't know, maybe you guys are right, I just don't get it tho, in halo 3 campaign and in halo 2 campaign aswell as multiplayer the elites were as tall as master chief which is like 7 ft. But in the cutscenes they were taller. I just want to fit a better explaination as to why some are twice the size they were. It's kind of lame thinking that everything is changed around without a better purpose.

The elites in halo 3 ducked there head the whole time,in halo reach they dont,sorta like how the hunter curls up during combat.

Halo 3 Elites were hunched over to match the Spartan's height so the game would be even. Now that Elites are supposed to be stronger, they buffed them up a bit.

Spartan III's are smaller, elites are huge, its a game. How many more reasons do you want?

Elites have been larger in the books for some time. They were the same size in Halo 2/3 as Spartans for obvious balance issues. Reach focuses on Spartans, so even though Elites are available in limited playlists there is finally a difference between how the two play.

In Halo 3, the Elites were hunched over to make them the same size as Spartans, for MP purposes. That plus the fact that you are now playingas a SpartanIII, which are not as big as SII's make them seem that much bigger. But I'm sure Bungie also upped their size a bit, to make them more menacing.

I think in the halo 2 or 3 booklet it says elites are 10 or 11 feet tall so.....
