more balanced than a primary-special system? People keep condemning PVP for forcing this balance, but if everyone has shotties and snipers then how is it unbalanced? Ditto for class ability cooldowns.

It’s brown and smells like poop. It is poop

4 RepliesBecause Bungie won’t let primaries kill fast enough to balance them (range disadvantage) with OHK weapons like shotguns, sniper rifles, and fusion rifles. That the only reason. CoD and Titanfall manage to balance their sandboxes without having to restrict access to ammo for these OHK weapons. But it means tolerating multi-shot weapons that kill quickly.

5 RepliesI think PVP is fine with the current system - the D2 2 primary/ heavy. Its easier to balance and that is why they did it - the time to kill could be a bit faster. Hopefully that will change. However - In PVE the power, the fantasy, the fun of it - in PVE - the weapon loadout should have stayed ( and should go back to) Primary/ special/ Heavy. Make PVE fun. Separate PVP and PVE and stop punishing PVE players for the sake of PVP balance. Thanks my 2 cents.

6 RepliesThe current system is great....I love it....It offers way more flexibility....I do think it would be nice to have shotties and snipers back in the kinetic and energy slots though

7 RepliesBecause how does having one hit kill weapons improve pvp? How does it make it exciting to have 4 players hard scoping any lane there is? Then, if you are one of those talented thumbs, how is it balanced to quick scope players as if a sniper is a shotgun? What is wrong with actually watching a good fight? The issue with video games and a competitive mode... is that it brings out the worse in players for the most part. Using xim connections with modded controllers or key board and mouse with auto aim, lag switching, p2p, etc etc... Player mentality ruins a game with said setups. They are just crutches. You want to use a sniper, put up the fight for power ammo and get it. Then there is your power weapon of choice. Now, I will agree that a lot of players preferred said setup, but they are also the ones complaining because they have to fight. Then they say “team shots” are ruining the game, but when you play with said people, they praise the team shots. They are stat babies. When they lose, they complain about what beat them. They prefer to sit in the back, as a team, and hardscope. That is not talent nor is it exciting. Nothing worse than a team of snipers playing passively bragging about a headshot.

Well shotguns and snipers and fusions can one shot. They wouldn’t fit in D2’s crucible if they became special/energy Weapons.

2 RepliesTo be fair to bungie, lots and lots of players and streamers asked for more primary fights, so they went that way with D2. Unfortunately at this point I don't think the community knows what it really wants, I dont want to play D1 for the next 3 years, bring some ideas back but expand on D2's systems. I think they needs to get updates out more regularly, fall 2018 for some of the updates will be too late for a lot of people.

Blame the D1 forums I dont mind the D2 loadout but snipers are shit now ad shotties are aswell to an extent. If anything they should keep what we have and add a 4th tier power-special for snipers, shotties, normal fusions and nade launchers and add orange ammo crates for them. A 4 weapon loadout would be fun and give us more diversity in our builds.

Since I've always been a med-long range fighter, I don't notice much difference in the 2 games. People act like Team Shooting didn't exist in the first game. I'm always going to bring one of 3 loadouts SR/AR/RL, SR/SA/RL, or SR/SMG/RL. Depending on the map, the Sidearm gets me out of trouble faster than an AR when someone gets close.
-
2 RepliesIt's balanced. But it's boring and bland as is painfully obvious. Destiny 1 was just fine. People just don't like losing. Twitch reflexes vs. Teamshot That's literally what D1 vs. D2 is all about.

PvP cry-babies is all you need to know.

Edited by evlwarhed: 1/15/2018 2:32:57 PMU get a straw and chew up a piece of paper, then blow through it; that's the kenetic slot Get same straw, mix paper with tobasco, then blow; that is secondary burn slot

They took away our teeth so now we can't nuke bosses anymore. Imagine the emperor with a squad of ghorns brain dead 1 run.

6 RepliesThe two primary system requires a longer TTK for both PVE and PVP. By eliminating the special weapon category in D2 the game has become less fun to play. Let me explain. Special weapons provided quick kills and also allowed the player a greater chance of making “plays” Double, triples, etc. With the two primary system it’s near impossible to win 2 v 1 encounters. Weaker guns coupled with fixed rolls in both primary slots has also made the game less fun to play. The space magic that the player experienced in the original game has all but been removed from D2. The two primary system is part of D2s core development so won’t be changed. As a result D2 is not as good as the original.

It got changed because of pvp
-
Cause you can't get ohk weapons that saw with ammo and the ammo don't spawn every 30 seconds for it, so you can't have a sniper lane set up any more
-
7 RepliesBasically the sniper people get upset that the shotgunners don't have to have as much skill and the shotgunners complain that the snipers just camp in the back. The people who use fusion rifles don't give a shit because they know what they're getting themselves into and the people who use sidearms don't exist until suddenly special ammo dries up then everyone's a bloody sidearm user and hail the weapon type as the best gun in the game. It's insufferable. We're all scum.
-
They've said it's to lower the skill ceiling... what that really means is to protect lower skilled players from individual high skilled players. I.E. No one has enough individual empowerment to affect the balance We should all thank sandbox director Jon Weisnewski for that...NOT!

bungie counts: 1, 1, 2, 3, 4

2 RepliesIts bs really.. they had a nice system in Destiny 1.. and what do you know.. here comes Bungie trying to fix what isnt broken.. prime example is Halo. These guys just cant get it right.

Because people suck at sniping and shotgunning so they complain.
