Bungie could you explain to us the Traveller's physics's

Since you know a really big orb won't cause tsunami's, tectonic events or anything

  • I mean... It can terraform planets... it could have just said "Earth, chill, I'm coming down" and the earth went "k" and didn't freak out

  • Since you know it and it's shard have it's own gravitional pull on...itself...pretty crazy.

You have no problem with the idea that it can terraform planets, but you want to see some little waves? It’s space magic bud.

  • Focus on English before "physics's."

Other than space magic, the Traveler isn’t remotely the same size as a moon so it wouldn’t have the same effects as one

  • The entire power of the traveler is that it doesn’t follow physics. It can literally do whatever it wants.

  • The Traveler can terraform planets, I'm sure it can nullify it's own gravitational pull.

  • It’s more of an entity than a physical thing, where it can kinda just do whatever it wants. But of course, can still take physical damage and such.

  • The Traveler is similar to the similar to the Dreadnought in that it is a three dimensional construct that represents a multi-dimensional entity/realm. It treats gravity like we treat a bump in the road. It simply steps over it and goes on about its business.

  • It's supposed to defy all logic and physics. It performs miracles and does the impossible like bringing the dead back to life. ✨Space Magic✨

    • <The Traveler's only 14 km in diameter. Also space magic.>

Depends on how dense it is. The Traveler's shell is said to be made from neutronium and electroweak matter. Neutronium (the core of a neutron star) would be very dense. It's said that a sugar-cube-sized amount would weigh over 1 billion tons (about the same as Mount Everest). A 20km Neutron Star has a mass of 1.4 times our sun. The Traveler probably has the mass of our moon or greater packed into a kilometre or two. Depending on what Bungie means by Electroweak matter, it may not have existed since the first second of the universe during the electroweak epoch. Therefore it's whole existence is theoretical. Since it can alter reality and its power is superior to physics. It is outside of the laws of physics as we know them. Altering its own gravitational pull is nothing. It can alter orbits of planets and moons, it can alter the gravity that such bodies exert without altering their mass, so altering its own gravitational force is nothing.
