Why was firefly removed? you against fun Bungie?
Firefly was my fav perk in all of destiny 1. I got 2 perfect imago's to drop. I had a wounded with full auto and firefly. The perk was so much fun to proc in pve.
Destiny 2 has dragonfly which absolutely SUCKS!!!!! it looks bad, feels bad, perform worse that bad.
who makes design choices like this? has 0 improvement to the game and it is amongst a long list of things that need to be reverted to destiny 1.
Bring back FIREFLY, it was the best perk in the game(pve) and the game needs all kinds of improvements. Don't miss this one Bungie

6 RepliesLook up the dragonfly perk. It is the firefly perk but causes damage of the type the gun does. Have it on several guns. Read perks before completing that they aren't there anymore since most of them are, just under new names

1 ReplyI remember how the game used to crash when you use this on a mob. Even more annoying was my friends crashing when they are close to the explosion. Was this ever fixed in D1? But it was great fun nevertheless.

Played D1 the other day and whipped out my Dead Orbit scout rifle with firefly and started popping head shots. Immediately felt awesomely powerful!!!

9 RepliesThey can't. They locked that perk onto one exotic. Sunfire. If they put Firefly onto other guns it would no longer make Sunfire feel exotic. Play with Sunfire and you will get that nostalgia back. Not defending Bungie, simply explaining why you won't see it again. You might see it down the road on another exotic. They felt Firefly was too powerful in D1.

Why aren’t there random mods on ALL weapons and gear? Why isn’t Eva Levante selling our shaders? Why aren’t there kiosks? Why is vault space once again an issue when it was somewhat rectified in D1? Why doesn’t the Raid give anyone an incentive to bother playing it? Why isn’t there strike specific loot? Why do our guardians feel like they wouldn’t last 30 seconds against Atheon, Crota, Aksis, and Oryx?

Surprisingly enough, I've managed to get 1 (one) singular kill with the dragonfly perk since D2 release in September. Pretty sure it was a bug, though...

most likelly it was removed because Luke Smith was dying too often to this type of roll in the crucible ! also don't forget Hunters ! he gets owned non-stop by Hunters even though they have 0 perks lol

Its not removed, just altered and renamed dragonfly.. Still doesn't always proc either.. Just like D1.

1 ReplyThere still is Firefly but the perk is called Dragonfly now I think. It is way less of an explosion than what the perk Firefly created. It's hard to bunch up ads and have them killed by getting one precision shot to blow them up. It needs to be the way it was in destiny 1, with a large explosion that is effective.
