No, Oryx isn't a worm god. He has one of the worm gods inside of him, but he himself isn't one. He also did not always have the worm god living inside of him. That only happened when Aurash and her sisters accepted the worm gods' bargain.

Edited by ColossalFallout: 1/8/2018 10:37:17 PMThe worm god's bargain in the book if sorrows was the worm god Yol speaking to Aurash, and he says "we want to help you, princes. We offer to each of you a bargain... A symbiosis. Take into your bodies our children, our newborn larvae."

Oryx doesn't have a worm god inside if him, however he does have one of the work god's direct descendants inside of him. In the book of sorrows the worm gods put their larvae inside the protohive. This is seen because Auryx kills his worm god Akka, and becomes Oryx.

1) Three of the five worm gods inhabit Oryx, Savathun, and Xivu Arath. Their larvae were put into the other protohive that follow in the sister's footsteps. 2) It's not Oryx's own worm god he kills, but one of the two that wasn't put into a protohive. The carcass of the worm god he kills is shaped into his Dreadnaught.

<Oryx and co do NOT have Worm Gods in them. Otherwise we would be using -blam!-ing Eir as ammo in the Touch of Malice. I'd believe the Heart of the Black Garden was a Worm God before that. And for the other guy. Akka isn't "Auryx's Worm God". Auryx had to physically get to Akka for a little chat, he wasn't just there. I'm no Toland but I'm 97.53% sure of what I'm saying here.>
