Not so sure about more skill. You basically had 2 power weapons on you at all times. In most games one hit weapons are power weapons. People are whining because they can’t have a sniper and rockets in PvE. More skill, hmmph

Maybe not in pve but in PVP it took more skill.

Really? You had a shotgun or sniper on spawn for easy one hit kills with ammo for them every 30 seconds in yr 3. Before that infinite. Then machine guns which if you were a solid player you could get ammo and mop with it the rest of the game. So much skill.

And everyone had access to them. The team that won had more skill. D2 is a snoozefest. PvP is so pathetically easy no wonder all the shitty players who couldn't hack it in D1 like it.

That argument has been around forever. D1 had much easier to use and available easy mode one hit weapons. A lot of people like this one because those aren’t available so you actually have to aim a little bit and out shoot or our maneuver your opponents so it feels more earned. It’s usually obvious who is better or makes better choices and wins. You also don’t get stuck with a stickie when you clearly got the drop and outshot someone. Or people hiding with the super gaining artifact etc. Its obvious you just like D1 better and that’s fine.

The argument has been out forever because it is correct. In D1 you still had to out shoot and out play your opponent only you had to do it quicker. Look you are in the minority here. There is a reason that D2 numbers right now are lower than d1s numbers at the end of y3. D2 is boring, there is no endgame and PvP takes no skill so it isn't rewarding when you get a kill. There really isn't much more to talk about .

The complaint was that there was very little shooting in D1. I thought D1 took way less skill. A lot of people think it’s boring because they don’t feel like a juggernaut with 2 one hit grenades and a shotgun with ammo for 6 kills and easy mode supers. One thing I’ve learned is that gamers don’t like balance that much. They like imbalance that creates opportunities for them and work for it less. Everyone can work around it because they have the similar option. But the argument goes both ways. Same can be done with this meta. But I prefer gunplay and movement and everyone not having easymode weapons. Yeah it not as fast and exciting but there’s less bullshit.

Everyone had access to those powerful abilities and weapons. Your argument would make sense if only select people had them. "If everyone's super, no one is." The one who wins when everything is powerful is most often the more skilled players. Try watching old pvp streams of destiny 1 and compare them with destiny 2. You will see that the streamers, who are often highly skilled players, are making less clutch plays and winning less 1v2 or 1v3 or team wipes.

I’m aware and I’ve watched many. Some of the things in D1 were just to imbalanced to defend with everyone had one. Plus you have different classes etc. The weapon scheme is not what needs fixed. It was part of the problem in D1. Many a streamer bitched about it along with the other things I listed. Because people didn’t have to utilize movement and shooting, just scrub tactics. They wanted it more “competitive” with gunplay and less heavy and abilities. They got what they wanted more than they realize. Are there other issues like balance among weapon classes, abilities, and maybe TTK. Sure. But the base issues most of them have are not this new weapon system. It’s in air accuracy, TTK, certain classes being way better etc.

You probably got owned hard in D1. That's why you love the team shoot in D2 you're a bad player.

That must be it. You got me. Fact is if you got beat in D1, you will be in the sequel too. Did well in it, you will in this one too. If you used crutches it won’t take long to shake them and you’ll be doing fine. It’s just a matter of preference.
