The Fated Engram should provide an undiscovered Exotic item unless the Character that bought the Fated Engram has already discovered all available Exotic Weapons and all Exotic Armor for their class. Exotic items that are currently in your Inventory, Vault, or unlocked in your Exotic Collections count as discovered. It would aid our investigation if you can provide a video that shows you erroneously received a duplicate exotic from the Fated Engram. The video would preferably show your Armor and Weapon Collections as well as you opening the Fated Engram.[/quote] The Fated Engram only gives Exotic Armor for the class you use to open the Engram, so, If you already have all Exotic Weapons and you're only missing some Exotic Armor for the Hunter, for example, you need to open the Engram with that specific class. If you open the engram with a class that has all Exotic Armor and all Exotic Weapons, you will receive a duplicate exotic, unfortunately.
