Are you kidding me Bungie?! "Too hard"?! What are you guys, children?! You're game developers! Do you ever hear Naughty Dog, CD Project Red, Square Enix, Rockstar or any other developer, big or small, complain about how hard it is to make content for their games!? Amazing. Simply amazing. You're all a freaking joke at this point and it is beyond disrespectful at this point how you've responded to the dedicated Destiny community: you know... the people who've stuck around since Day 1, Destiny 1. Throttling exp gains, doubling the amount of exp needed, no endgame, a shitty DLC that does absolutely nothing to justify the cost. Masterwork weapons that hardly changed the gameplay up (oh wow, now occasionally I drop orbs of light: big woop), dumb ass weekly milestones/resets and now this.
If this is the hill you guys wanna die on, so be it.
Edit: OH! And can't forget to mention how lazy y'all are! You think you're slick adding in exotics from Destiny 1 instead of making completely new ones? Because you're not. And making old exotics into different versions doesn't count as *new* (i.e Crimson is literally Red Death) you lazy sons of ...
Edit 2: I am now well aware this was taken out of context, thank you for that. But my point about everything else still stands. Destiny 1 ended off on such a high note compared to its vanilla launch so screw me for expecting Destiny 2 to start off somewhere relatively close to where D1 left off.

My proposal: Please be respectful and hear me out. A REAL solution to the Eververse dilema. A win, win for players AND Bungie. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/241711075 Middle ground and understanding can be established, it just takes some goodwill and gestures of trust to get back on track here. My 2 cents.

3 RepliesAll these people defending Bungie because programming is hard. I don't care that it's hard. It is their choice to get into this business, and as consumers we can demand good content. So because it's hard we can accept all this shit? Give me a break.
-
its not out of the reason you think.. here is the proof, from bungie themselves, why content CANT be added that easily.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UU92a5pKV6k

2 RepliesMaybe they don’t have time to explain why they don’t have time to explain?
-
1 Reply"...out of context" Maybe.... But, actions speak louder than words. And right now it seems "hard" for Bungie to get things right.
-
Agreed with everything but I actually like Crimson. Its more Trespasser meets Red Death.
-
Hint: It doesn‘t matter if the words of Schreier were taken out of context. D2 proves he was right.
-
I beg to differ, only in that Red Death was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy better than Crimson!! This crappy, 3 round burst hand cannon is no match for the Pulse Rifle I knew and loved!! Just my opinion tho, take it or leave it :)

"Making content is to hard" is business speak for "making content is not profitable, let's find another way to bleed the suckers".

32 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 1/6/2018 4:22:12 PMThis is the same Hog Wash they pulled with D1. Get out of here with lie, you damn liars... Like blaming last gen. Hmm, didn't Bungie blame the new gen? Vault space, yep, you did it again and at a great time to not add enough space with this cash grab event. Hmm, if it's so hard to make content. How the hell did you make this scam (Curse of Dawning)??? Last min changes, as if a company that has been in business for 30 years that has been working on this game for 10+ years that made Halo are having a "hard time creating content" New flash Bungie! You been called out by your player base that knows you are full of it. Your statement Bungie saying....
We created a system that will allow us to create content much easier.
What happen, did you straight out lie to your player base face again, or are you trying to use this Hog Wash story because how lazy you guys have become?

Idk I think rockstar thinks it but won't say it with not even making a single dlc for the story for GTAV.

4 RepliesEdited by Muds: 1/5/2018 9:53:39 AMJust a little heads up for those who keep going on about game developing being 'hard', think you really need to watch this : - Video description: - One person creating a truly ‘Infinite’ forest in 2 days all by himself, the graphics may be crude but the logic is sound and the results are quite overwhelming https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKWWcTkXqv8, and for the rest of the community who want the game to be good, how great would this be ;)

Yep if you ever worked for a company with bad management you know what these devs are going through... I know from experience, I worked very hard for a company, too hard, my wife was always mad hard, to keep 210 employees happy. I took time to find the right people for each contract, was fair with hours and saved the company tons of money by wearing many hats. We had many dedicated contracts and great relationships with our clients. I left that job for a better opportunity. The stress was also killing me. The next guy came in with a whole different attitude. He hired 14 people to do his job, he abandoned the quality of the contracts, didn't give a crap where he placed people, turned the place into a revolving door of hiring and refused to take calls on the weekend. He didn't give two shits about the employees, which lead to animosity. It's not hard to imagine the result... A loss of 40% of the contracts due to the decreased moral of the employees which lead to a decrease in quality. Placed the branch in a deficit due to the hiring of 14 non billable office members and loss of contracts. My friend who still works there stated that the office has been closed and the remaining contracts controlled by head office 400 miles away. Sound familiar?

Tom Clancy developers make a shit ton of content for numerous games

3 RepliesThose masterwork weapons have doubled my orb output (shadowshot) and have tripled to quadrupled my team's orbs. Very useful
-
Hypocrite.
-
Wouldn't be so bad if they everything the put out didn't straight up suck. I thought this!e was gonna rock then it came out I played it tried to tell myself that it wasn't half bad and of course vanilla destiny wasn't that great they will have some killer dlc they gotta. Then the dlc came out. The end the game is a joke wish we had the power fire them they should have to give everyone their money back since doing their job is just too hard. Wish I could tell my boss working was too hard lol

6 RepliesI used this whole "fiasco" as an example of how so many people quickly believe fake news and are manipulated by the media. It's pretty funny little you guys think for yourselves.
-
20 RepliesThat quote is from Jason Schreier, with Kotaku, not anyone from Bungie. He already came out and said that his comments were taken out of context, so this video is moot and was purely click bait for ad dollars.
-
Read the actual news.... Not the guy trying to portray it....
-
Let me laugh hahahahaaaa.
-
His article on the first game makes similar claims. https://kotaku.com/the-messy-true-story-behind-the-making-of-destiny-1737556731

At this point, in willing to see what Bioware can do with Anthem considering MEA was pushed aside for it... If it dissappoints, I'm done with Bioware and won't be buying any future games from them.
-
I dont like people referring to D2 as "just an expansion to D1" What expansion would strip away the core reasons people were playing the game? Its a complete downgrade aside from audio/visuals.
-
10 RepliesMeanwhile Unreal tournament is in beta. Anthem is coming. Overwatch, Indie, Battlefield, Battlefront, Pubg, and fortnite numbers eat activision marketshare. I dont want to play this Bungie trash. I just come to warm my hands by the dumpster fire.
-
24 RepliesProgramming games is crazy hard. I've done it with just 8bit games. Can only imagine how hard it is for Destiny. Keep in mind there's the art, audio, voice acting, etc. It's a lot of work. It's much easier to bitch about the game not being what you want.
