• Interesting. What do you like about Eververse that would compel you to defend it?

  • Eververse has some cool stuff. Emotes, ghosts and some pretty cool armor.

  • I like that it gives people an option. You can either spend the time to grind for a chance to get the items, like we did in the old days, or you can buy your pretty pink dresses like a grown up girl! In the end it doesn't matter, and I don't understand why people can't see that.

  • I can see where you are coming from. Not everyone has the time grind the game due to work and family obligations for sure. I have dropped Tons of money myself on Warframe Platinum(Destiny Silver equivalent) buying everything from guns, warframes, and mods which I need to go on a rampage and kill all the things to cosmetics which help me look good while doing so! I personally do not like how they are implementing the engram system though. In a game like warframe micro transactions do not bother me for 3 reasons. 1: its a free to play game and you how much you want to invest into the game. There is no real need to put any extra cash into it if you have the time to grind. Destiny on the other hand has a 60$ buy in on as well as 20$ per DLC which begs the question why we need to pay additional money for loot when we are already paying for it. 2: In Warframe I spend my in game currency to buy whatever I want, whenever I want. If I want to buy all the best shotguns and shotgun mods to buff them I can do that either through the Warframe in game store or the in game trade. No random aspect involved when it comes to my money. Just buying exactly what I want. Destiny 2 on the other hand lets you pay money to essentially get loot boxes for random Items so you can get a bunch of junk you have no interest in. That incentivize a player to keep paying in to the random boxes until they get exactly what they want which makes us as consumers pay more money for less of what we actually want which is wasteful on our part. Even the drop for our weapon and armor mods in D2 is random so its frustrating just to get a set of kinetic weapon damage mods just to upgrade your legendary weapons damage! "not that I have that problem..." 3: In Warframe you can make Platinum buying trading in game items you receive from playing the game so if you are devoted to the grind then you can get all the Platinum you need without spending any money. So you are never strong armed into spending money. These 3 things I believe make the micro transaction system work in Warframe where D2s Micro transaction loot box system feels like a cheap cash grab especially when it a lot of members of the community has stated that there isn't enough content or incentive to play the game for more than a week. That's just my take on it.

  • This is more of a post I can respect. I totally agree that the engram system is bad, and I can agree with yoru stance on the cost of the game in addition to a micro transaction format. The issue I have is that everyone is raging over the Eververse system, and not the engram system. Eververse is for cosmetics, which don't effect the game. Engrams need a change.

  • But you are missing the point here. Most of the Legendary and Exotic items, besides weapons and armor, is stuck in Eververse. It's fine if Bungie decides to keep Eververse, but they need to dial it back and reward different activities with some of that locked up Eververse gear.

  • Okay, you are 100% right. They are open. But, they are locked to time and luck. I think most players don't like the idea of gambling for something that they want. It's like, if you went to the store to buy food, and you just got a box that maybe contained the things you wanted. I know that is a dramatic comparison, but it still holds true. Players do not like the idea of spending real world money with the outcome being a gamble. I hope you can agree with me on that.

  • You mean locked by time and luck like nearly every game in existence? Also, for your box comparison, it all runs down to this. Is it needed? Will it put me in financial hurt to buy it? Can I wait? These are all decisions grown ups have to make on a daily basis. If it's something you want to spend money on, by all means, buy them food boxes! If not, work hard to earn them food boxes!

Lol, I feel like this debate just went into the wrong direction. Yes, some games require a lot of time and luck, but most of those games in the past were a set price up front, and then the time and luck came after the purchase. When I was growing up on Nintendo and PS2 games, it took time to beat them, but once I bought the game, that was that. My point about the boxes wasn't considering it to be a necessity, I should have used another example. I agree, if players want to spend money, let them do it. If not, then keep grinding for XP and open as many Engrams as you can. My only problem with that system is that even if I grind for days and months, (or until the season ends) I will never have a guarantee that I will get a certain item. That is what the players are angry about. It's the fact that you never know what you are going to get. It's like, doing the Raid without knowing what you are going to get, except once you are done with the Raid, you can use real world money to gamble on a chance to get the gear through the Vendor. I'm sure players would do that, but it would still suck because of the gambling aspect.

  • @Ghiest is supporting #RemoveEververse movement which I associate with the Majority of this communities members showing there disappointment and ire towards Bungies arguably lazy/greedy game design choice to base a unnecessarily large amount of content behind micro transactions which could have served better as purpose as loot drops from specific endgame activities incentivizing players to stay invested in playing the game. Sounds like a pretty Solid Argument to me. Picks up mic and obliterates @Fear the Dentist with it since Mic is more Overpowered than 90% of garbage guns in D2.

  • He showed his support by posting to remind everyone who also supports the movement to stick to their guns and keep hounding Bungie until we get results either being affirmation that they will continue to let D2 burn or make a well needed change and step in the right direction to start mending there tarnished reputation. Dumb are those who haven't noticed all the changes that have come to pass from feedback on these Bungie Forums. Sheep are those who wait around for there slaughter and most of the people on these forums pushing for change are certainly not that. They have chosen to act instead of wait for Bungie to slaughter what they care about..."Destiny" What about you @Fear the Dentist? Are you content with the current state of destiny or just chose not to acknowledge the burning house we are standing in which is D2. By all means start your own thread with your own opinion to see how many others share your opinion. :)
