This guy shows first hand just how lazy bungie was when it came to the half assed development of "infinite" forest. Figured it's a nice change of pace aside from the remove eververse posts.
Edit: it's a shame that this is what's become of a game that had so much potential. I don't blame the devs so much as to why this happened but it doesn't take a genius to see that it's gonna get worse before it gets better.

it’s been 3 years and they still are lazy as hell and suck at adding content someone needed to say it. recycling content and flat out taking forever to add stuff not to mention them saying they will add stuff and then it taking longer

Now that I watched the video though I really do see the negative in it. My bad

Im not trying to be rude, I'm really not. I'm just wanting to comment my opinion on this post if that's ok. I would just like to say that I don't pay attention to how lazy it is or what parts I don't like. I would enjoy the way it was made because it's still fun. Based on my experience with destiny that I play all day every day on my butt (that's lazy). I honestly don't thing bungie is lazy with any part or it wouldn't have had so much in the game. It has great graphics, when I first played the first destiny I fell in love with it and died to play destiny 2. I couldn't wait. I still play it every day and I will always continue and I'm loving all the updates. I love Destiny! It's my favorite game of all time. Thank you for reading this :) have a wonderful day.

2 RepliesIf only all these youtubers and twitch streamers all got together and formed their own company for developing games.

Imagine if one road led to Atheon, another to Crota reborn, another to the Templar, another to Skolas reborn with Siva. They could have done so many cool things with the Infinite Forest. Instead we essentially get a giant loading screen we have to run through to start a strike.

this needs as many up votes as possible....nuff said.

11 RepliesYeah but think about this for a second..... would you really want it like this? essentially the same platforms in the same area, reusing the same assets and same enemies.... infinitely? Holy fvkc i just bored myself into anger just thinking about it. Yeah, bungie is lazy, but had they implemented it this way then we'd really be calling them lazy. Think about it: this game is boring. Can i please have MORE of the boring? mmmmm..... no thanks.

Edited by oh ver driive: 1/3/2018 4:28:15 PM10/10 This is why I still play casually but still can't get behind Bungie. They could be doing better and simply are choosing not to.

3 RepliesEdited by BigheadedJedi: 1/3/2018 12:32:36 AMWow. Good video and really makes you wonder what the heck Bungie was using their time for during the last few years?

1 ReplyFriggin fantastic. Dude, brilliant demo of bungie laziness. They have so many obvious missteps. It makes us as a community very sad. Charge us for the game, charge us for DLC and charge us in game too. 2 tokens, one blue....our most rewarding public event ever....we're listening... so we have more ghost shells and sparrows coming!
-
4 RepliesBungie also failed to add beards to our character creator, and instead copy pasted the creator from D1. We already know how lazy they are. A sequel with a 3 year old character customization screen is kind of a joke.

16 RepliesOr you could skip the negative word choices that are only seeking attention and look at the bright side: this guy "exposed" the opportunity the Infinite Forest brings. The shit just came out. Let Bungie collect and respond to feedback. The content isn't going anywhere, it can still be improved. Maybe if everyone stopped overreacting they could focus on how things could get better, not indulge in their Bungie revenge-fantasy.

Fantastic.

2 RepliesEdited by bLooM_pHaZe: 1/3/2018 1:45:51 AMLoved it and awesome work for such little time. Hats off to you matey. I would LOVE to play something like with mini-bosses at every 5 levs or so, with a larger boss at lev 10 and then go to the portal to some random area, rinse/ repeat with AWESOME loot in the mix at various stages.

3 RepliesLazy is the word I have used to identify D2 in general. Why work hard and smart with all this eververse money flying through the door everyday? Not bunnies fault, they are just a result from OUR poor decisions. If we the consumer really want things to change, we must be smarter with the money. Never preorder! Never purchase in game goods! Make these guys EARN their check.

6 RepliesI’m not sure the Bungie engine could handle it. My uneducated guess is that the length of the forest paths likely pushes the memory of the game and that forces them to be finite. I think of the empty space in Wrath of the Machine after the death zamboni and it was used to clear the cache for the final fight. While the D2 engine is improved the added detail of graphics and effects has likely returned the game to its original limitations of the previous engine.

Was actually quite an eye opening demo. That’s actually was I was expecting/hoping for with the forest. Thanks.

Thanks, I’ll give it a watch after reading most of the comments first. ;)

1 ReplyAm I the only one who feels like the infinite forest was a lazy attempt at copying warframes concept of procedurally generated maps. Even more so obvious how this guy shows that it could truely be infinite in that you can continue playing a session until you decide to leave.
-
Good point made by the author My worry is that Bungie seem to be on a path, where it's becoming acceptable to throw reskinned paper thin content at us, and still expect us to pay And then pay again through micro transactions Cut content re sold at later dates But while people keep buying, they will keep doing It's not just the #Eververse that needs to go viral, it's a #StopRippingusOff that needs to go big, not just on destiny but across the world

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
I expected another youtuber hopping on the bandwagon to get traffic from peoples complaints. I was wrong. That video is well worth watching, and shows the concept of what many people will have thought the infinite forest would be like. Instead we got the unfinished forest, because Bungie thought that would be enough to get by.
