Tier list of classes - assistance required

Good day, Joining Destiny 2 recently, I did find a usual problem deciding for the character. All in all I will most probably try all of them, yet picking the very first one seems crucial. Thus, I would be grateful for the approximation of classes' strength in terms of different gameplay. Concerning PVE, I have heard that: 1. Hunters are useless to such extent they're banned from dungeons and are generally the weakest class for anything but public events. 2. Titans are mediocre with the barricade being the only utility that makes them anyhow useful. 3. Warlocks are generally the only good enough class, with their invincible yet selfish build, or for general trash mobs clearing. For PVE, though, I've read that: 1. Hunter is OP, yet I wasn't able to get the information why. 2. Titan is trash with slow movements and can be anyhow viable thanks to double grenades. 3. Warlocks are useless no any extent. I can't quite make my mind, as it looks as though every class is a pure trash with only the Warlock being anyhow good in PVE and Hunter in PVP, yet there is plenty of topics that say otherwise. I would be then grateful if you could help me in that matter and provide information to below questions, as follows: 1. Is it a truth that Hunter is so underpowered for any-but-public events pve content to such extent they're banned for raids? 2. What makes Hunters so good in PVP, and at the same moment what make Titans so weak? Is it mobility? 3.I am looking for the utility class that will be useful for very endgame team pve anyhow, yet the most important factor is pvp. Which class would you pick then? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance. Cheers.

 • 1: No, Hunters are actually very strong for all pve contents thanks to their exotics ( arguably the best Exotics in the game ) Nightstalker = Orpheus Rig ( Best for large groups of enemies ) Gunslinger = Celestial Nighthawk ( Highest single target damage in the game, obviously best for Bosses ) 2: Hunters are good in PvP because they have 2 of the best shut down supers. Golden Gun and Shadowshot. Titans are not weak. Strikers have 2 pulse grenades which are great for zoning and a Panic Super you can use on reaction and Sunbreaker's Hammers are insanely good to get team wipes. 3: This is not the answer you want but it is how it is. All classes are fine for all content. Some subclasses are worse than others sure but every class has one subclass that functions amazingly in PvE and one that functions amazingly in PvP. Important note, while Titans have a barricade and Warlocks have a healing or dps rift to support their teammates, the Hunter has a reload dodge or a stealth+reload dodge which basically benefits only you and not the fireteam. That doesnt mean it's a bad ability, it's just not there for team support. Finally, playing a Titan feels like you are out there to cause complete havoc, you like Doomguy? thats kind of what it feels to play Titan ( dont overdo it tho some PvE content will harshly punish you if u go around punching everything ). Hunter feels like the wild card. With a single Shadowshot you can turn a difficult or time consuming PvE encounter into a very easy and fast encounter while also charging your fire team's Supers. Warlock is your typical magic caster but dont expect the wizardy feel. You will still be using guns. But Voidwalker Warlock is the best tank in the game with fast cooldowns and vampiric synergies among his abilities.
