I support the points you present BUT you need to put on pressure to try to limit something you don't want. Yes they are just cosmetics, but the RAID gear is cosmetic, trials gear, and so on and so forth.

Agreed. There are three types of armor, Survivalist (recovery), Heavy (resilience), and Mobility (agility). Besides the cosmetic appearance of the gear there is nothing special about them.
