I think the issue is that they are spending time and resources to make gear to sell (or collect slowly by leveling) in the loot boxes.
If they made quests, special strikes or adventures that rewarded this gear then I’m sure people wouldn’t mind. If it had to be something to work for, then all Bungie would need is to up the difficulty.
That’s my only issue.
Edit: my apologies I meant gear not weapons. I fixed it

What weapons? You mean like the TWELVE weapon quests that are currently in Curse of Osiris, maybe?

Apologies I meant gear (ornaments, armor, shaders, sparrows). I fixed it.

You said “What weapons?” At that moment all i could think of was how i grinded for a ‘Treads Upon Stars’ with an ultimate roll in D1. The building excitement when you unlock that chest with your last Skeleton Key. Finding it or not... ... I miss that feeling in D2. Thank you for helping me remember. It is a good memory :-) -G

I loved the D1 quest for "No Time to Explain". Because you kicked it off by finding three hidden ghosts in a strike I must have played a 100 times. Completely different ending to the strike with a portal opening up in the VoG jumping puzzle!!! Then after that mission you had to grind out the rest of the quest for an Exotic pulse rifle. Similarly, Black Spindle. Memories... Hopefully more like this to come.

That's a good point by both. The forge stuff is a step in the right direction. But boy that is a straight up GRIND! We all want the same thing in this section. More content and more meaningful content. Good dialogue though gents.

Thanks for the reply. Good thoughts and I have posted my (similar) feelings elsewhere in this thread on this topic. Quick version, I could do without the snowball fights and would rather Bungie spend time on adding depth to the end-game and feel that the seasonal events are gimmicks that I could do without.
