So, I got a copy of Battlefront II. I have a disc. Why would I not just be able to play the game when I pop the disc into the tray? What’s going on here?. Is this the standard now? Do you have to install a game even if you have a disc?
And for some context, The last time I bought a physical disc was for the Xbox 360. And the only games I have bought since then were the Destiny games and I got them both digitally.

The 360 gave you the choice of installing, and I wish the latest gen did the same as installed games take up so much HDD space In the case of the Xbox one x, 4K graphics use so much memory, there’s not always enough space on a Blu-ray disk, though I believe Microsoft have implemented, or will, a way of selecting your game requirements based on what you need, thereby saving on install space and/or downloading
